From Sault, head south on the D943 (Route de Saint-Jean) for about 700 m. At the "Les Grès Est" signpost, take the GR® marked track on the left and park a little further on the left before a long stony climb.
(S/E) Follow this stony track, take the first track on the left and go straight up following the markings. Ignore several small grassy tracks on the right. Continue climbing until you find a narrow grassy track on the left with a white and red cross.
(1) Leave the markings and take this track, keeping to the left at the three-way junction a few dozen metres further on to head downhill. Further down, join another track coming from the right, then continue down the gentle slope on the left. This will take you to a horizontal cross track.
(2) Turn left and follow this track until you come to a small spring on the right: the Conchettes spring.
(3) Descend to the left, then turn right to find a path at the bottom of the valley. Zigzag across the valley several times, crossing the thalweg via a series of small roller coaster-like slopes. You will arrive at a path junction, above which you can see an old stone building.
(4) Descend a three-metre steep slope to continue along the path in the valley. About forty metres further on, you will find the entrance to a small karstic cave blocked by a metal plate in the thalweg below the path. Continue along the Combe Saint Guillem and you will come out onto a track.
(5) Follow this track in the valley until you reach, after a barrier, the track that supports the GR® and the start of the route S/E).
