To get to Ferrassières, take the D189 from Montbrun-les-Bains or the D63 from Sault and Aurel. Park in the car park between the church and the town hall in Ferrassières, in front of the fountain dedicated to Joan of Arc.
(S/E) With your back to the town hall, turn right (away from the church), ignore a dead end on the left and continue to a crossroads. Keep left until you reach the Col de l'Homme Mort road, turn left onto this road and continue for about 100 metres, then leave the Col road and turn 90° onto a small road on the left.
At the crossroads, in front of a pretty stone gate belonging to the Loren lodge, take a barely visible path on the right and join the road.
(1) Cross it carefully, continue for about 300 m and turn left onto the carriage road (wooden electricity pole). Follow the path that climbs between the lavender fields to the multi-directional crossroads.
(2) Continue climbing up the middle path, ignoring another path that branches off to the left, until you reach an old structure that is an ancient well.
(3) Walk around it, taking care as it is very deep and you can see water at the bottom. Immediately after this old stone well, you will come to a crossroads. Continue climbing to the right via the Combe de Boudriès (ignore the path that climbs to the left). You will reach a T-junction in the bed of a small stream.
(4) Continue opposite in the bed of this stream, which is actually the Combe de Boudriés. Reach the Col de l'Homme Mort via an easy climb.
(5) Take the tarmac road on the left for a few dozen metres, cross it carefully, then turn right and climb up the flower-filled valley. Please note: the path is not very visible at the beginning. Reach the highest point in a small clearing and enjoy the beautiful view of Mont Ventoux.
(6) Continue downhill in a left-hand circular loop, then head south to reach a new T-junction.
(7) Continue straight ahead, heading south until you reach a crossroads.
(8) Turn right and continue until you reach the D63.
(9) Turn right and follow the road until you reach the road on the right that leads to the solar farm.
(10) Continue for 50 metres and take the left-hand path until you reach a crossroads.
(11) Turn left heading south and continue downhill on the discovery trail along the fields, alternating with the edge of the forest, until you reach the Paillette hill.
(12) Descend towards the church, passing in front of a typical house with a loggia (animals on the ground floor, living quarters upstairs). Then return to the car park in the centre of Ferrassièrers (S/E).
