Panoramic views of the Côtes de Meuse from Buxerulles
This route takes in the villages of Buxerulles, Buxières-sous-les-Côtes and Woinville. It passes through vineyards, orchards and woodland. It can be regarded as the ‘balcony of the Côtes’, overlooking Lake Madine. There are lovely views over the plain, the Côtes de Meuse and the Montsec hill.
The Crête des Éparges
A memorial hike on a site where very deadly battles took place between February and April 1915, considered by some historians to be a prelude to the Battle of Verdun (nearby), which was triggered a year later. Several monuments and numerous remains mark the route, including impressive craters left by huge explosions.

A short route that will take you to the Plateau de Resson. You can enjoy a full 360° panorama.

Belvédère de Tannois circular
This 9km circular takes you to the Belvédère de Tannois and offers exceptional views over the Ornain valley.
Circular Golf course loop from Véel
This route, starting from Véel, passes through Fains-les-Sources before reaching the 18-hole golf course at Combles-en-Barrois. It will take you past the churches of Saint-Martin (15th century) in Véel, Sainte-Catherine (15th and 16th centuries) in Fains-les-Sources, and the Saint-Joseph Chapel (19th century) between Fains and Combles.
It is an easy walk with little shade. There is a shaded picnic area (4 tables) in front of the Saint-Joseph Chapel.
