The Crête des Myrtilles car park is located on the D 214 road between La Rothlach and the Champ du Feu tower.
(S/E) From Crête des Myrtilles, head south on the unmarked path, go through the barrier and continue along the path, ignoring all turnings, until you reach the junction with theGR®531marked with a blue rectangle.
(1) Continue straight ahead on the path marked with a blue triangle, which further on joins theGR®5marked with a red rectangle (the return route).
(2) Cross theGR®5and continue to the Hochfeld Forest Road (RF) on the Blue Triangle marked path.
(3) Take the RF to the right, following the same markings for about 600 metres until you reach the next crossroads.
(4) At the crossroads, turn left and walk 150 m to find another crossroads.
(5) Turn right and keep to the left, following the Blue Triangle through Chaume des Veaux, ignoring the path on the right (Chevalet Rouge).
At the next crossroads, keep to the right and follow the road to the next intersection near the Kaelberhuette farm.
(6) At the crossroads, leave the farm on your right, first turn left then right, and take the unmarked path that runs alongside the pasture where you can see a yurt.
(7) At the yurt, head left and then left again to reach the Chevalet Jaune marked trail that leads to the Col du Kreuzweg.
(8) At Col du Kreuzweg, turn left at the hairpin bend and take the Kreuzweg RF marked with a yellow cross. Walk for about 1.5 km in a north-westerly direction. At a left-hand bend in the RF, you will come to a junction with the path marked with a red disc.
(9) At the table and benches, turn right and descend into the forest (marked with a red disc). At the houses, head left and you will reach a crossroads at the waterfall.
(10) Enjoy the spot (fountain, benches) then continue straight ahead (Red Disc) keeping to the right until you reach the waterfall. Retrace your steps back up to the crossroads.
(10) Follow theGR®5marked with a red rectangle to the right to climb up to the Source de l'Andlau, pass it and, after a left turn, climb up to the intersection you encountered on the way there.
(2) Immediately turn right at the hairpin bend and continue climbing, following the blue triangle markings. Cut across a path and reach thefirst crossroads you encountered on the way there.
(1) Ignore the marked paths to the right and left and continue straight ahead to the Crête des Myrtilles car park (S/E).
Be careful at point (10): follow the red square route towards "Source de l'Andlau" (specific sign). We followed the route in the other direction (towards Hohwald) and got lost for a while before turning back.
