(S) From the Fleur de Lys hotel, turn left and head towards the south-west exit of the village. Pass the Gruyères artisan chocolate factory. Take the first path on the right, cross the Route de la Cité and follow the Chemin du Bourgo to reach the station square.
(2) Pass between Gruyères railway station and the Gruyères Cheese Demonstration Centre. Turn left at the end of the square and you will find yourself on Rue du Pâquier. Continue north until you reach the Les Vernes restaurant. Turn left, follow the Route des Vernes, cross the Chemin Creux and take the path opposite, which leads to a bridge over the Albeuve river.
(2) Cross the Albeuve and continue along Chemin des Fromageries, then Chemin des Gentianes. Turn right at the end of the housing estate, ignoring Chemin de la Loue, which heads west. Head west, follow signpost no. 3 and you will arrive at À la Bliantsarda.
(3) Continue west, still on trail no. 3, and reach a crossroads just before the In Maulatré d'Avau mountain pasture.
(4) Head south on the path called Des Raquettes, then take the Petites Clés path and join an intersection just before the Grosses Clés mountain pasture.
(5) Stay on trail no. 3, with Moléson in sight, and climb up to Plan Francey, the lower station of the Moléson cable car.
(6) At the first crossroads, take the path on the right towards the west and continue to another crossroads just before the Petit Plané mountain pasture.
(7) Leave trail no. 3 and take the left-hand trail to climb Moléson. Follow this trail to the ridge.
(8) Turn left to reach the summit of Moléson.
(9) Return to the previous crossroads nearby.
(8) Follow the Moléson ridge path opposite until you come to a path leading downhill on the right.
(10) Start the descent on the right and pass the Alpage de Tremetta. Leave the track that branches off to the right and take the shortcut to reach a hairpin bend further down this track.
(11) Now take the wide track to Villard Dessus.
(12) Take the trail, then trail no. 3, heading south-west, pass Alpage d'Incrota and arrive at a crossroads at La Pudze.
(13) Turn left and keep heading south-west. After the Chalets des Pueys, in the bend, continue on the path that leads to the Route des Cascades.
(14) Follow it, cross the Veveyse (river), then take the Route des Dailles to the entrance to Les Paccots at a large car park. When you reach the car park, turn left into Rue Les Rosalys and return to the hotel of the same name (E).
