Fesches-le-Châtel - Mandeure
This is the last stage before the start of the Grande Traversée du Jura. The hike is mainly through forest, crossing the woods of Sochaux, Fays and Goutils. At the end of the stage, you can explore the village of Thulay. Halfway along the route, there are shops where you can buy supplies in Seloncourt. There are also some interesting viewpoints along the way.
Morvillars les Grandes Tannières circular loop

Fort Lachaux par la face Est et retour par la Citédo
Circuit de randonnée, au départ de l’espace Jean Jaurès, il traverse le quartier des Vignoles. Au fort Lachaux, le belvédère Est offre une vue sur les Vosges, la trouée de Belfort. Un passage dans la Caponnière offre un aperçu des fortifications. À la ferme Jan Ross vous verrez des animaux. La traversée de Sochaux offre une vue des usines Peugeot. Au retour, vous croiserez peut être des canards ou des hérons sur les bords de la Savoureuse.
Trévenans Circular
A pleasant hike in Trévenans, 10 km south of Belfort.
It takes you on a beautiful climb through the forest with lovely views. It joins the Sentier Historique des Bornes de la Principauté de Montbéliard (Historical Trail of the Boundaries of the Principality of Montbéliard). It ends by taking the Coulée Verte (Green Corridor) along the Haute-Saône canal with a very pretty view of the Southern Vosges.

Route de découverte in Bourogne
15 km south-east of Belfort, 4 km from the TGV station, Bourogne is a town that combines modern development with a rich historical past.
This short walk through the village and forest will allow you to discover a rich heritage with several beautiful buildings, superb fountains and the ruins of the castle.
Information panels help you appreciate these treasures.
Another special feature of the route is the petrifying spring.
The Sentier des Bornes trail in Beaucourt
This bucolic, often shaded walk will take you past a myriad of carved stone markers adorned with inscriptions from yesteryear.

Fort Lachaux par la face Sud
Hiking route starting from the Town Hall. It takes you to the beer museum; near Place de l'Europe, the Peugeot Adventure Museum, the temple and the Prince's house. Then the Citédo and the sports park. It leads you towards Fort Lachaux, where you can enjoy the scenery. Next, you will cross the undergrowth and an educational farm. On the way back, you will discover the church of Sochaux and the redesigned Avenue du Général Leclerc.
The Damassine
This short 1½-hour hike will take you to La Damassine in Vandoncourt. Enjoy superb views of the Vosges, the Salbert towards Belfort and the Lomont wind turbines. The route mostly follows marked paths.

In Damas, the "village of 600 mayors", you are always welcomed with a smile and a friendly greeting.
They offer us a pleasant little walk through the streets of the village to discover their fountains, their listed natural site and a wide panorama of the village, the Pays de Montbéliard and the Vosges.
Walk to the viewpoints in Montbouton
A superb hike in the south of the Belfort area in the foothills of the Jura. Exceptional views over the Bas Pays de Montbéliard and the southern Vosges mountains. You will also discover the charming village of Montbouton, 25 km from Belfort and 7 km from Audincourt.

Sentier des Passeurs in Saint-Dizier-l'Évêque
This is a very pleasant hike that alternates between forest and countryside landscapes. There are lovely views of the Swiss Jura and the Southern Vosges.
The paths you will take are steeped in history. In fact, you will be walking along the paths where smugglers accompanied fugitives during the Second World War.

The Bermont Tour Bermont
Old buildings, forts, churches, chapels... discover the heritage of the peaceful commune of Bermont in the heart of a beautiful green setting on this family walk.
Superb viewpoint offering an exceptional 360° panorama of the Vosges mountains, Belfort, the Trèvenans Hospital and the Jura mountains. Superb views of and beneath the TGV viaduct.

Circular Three valleys in Lebetain
This superb hike allows you to discover the village of Lebetain and the surrounding valleys with their typical Jura landscape. The starting point is near the Swiss border, close to Delle, 25 km from Belfort via the expressway.
My favourite part: a very pretty section through the middle of a pasture in a narrow valley with a small stream and numerous little waterfalls. However, there is a fairly difficult section with a steep path for about 50 metres.

In the lands of Desiderius in Saint-Dizier-l'Évêque
A very pretty hike that allows you to discover this small village with its superb church and beautiful vineyard.
The historical past is well highlighted with numerous information panels: in the church, at Au pas du Diable and at the small chapel.

The Verchat trail in Joncherey
A lovely hike in the Joncherey area near Delle, 25 km south-east of Belfort. Easy access via the N1019 expressway. You will discover a charming village, landscapes of fields and forests, and the Étang du Verchat lake with its tree houses.

A pleasant hike through the countryside and forest. Beautiful views of the Jura mountains.
Very pretty villages of Novillard, Autrage and Autrechêne with artistic decorations.

Welcome to Villars-le-Sec on the Franco-Swiss plateau of Ajoie.
This is a pleasant hike on the French-Swiss border, starting from Villars-le-Sec near Delle, 30 km south-east of Belfort. It is very easy to access via the 1019 expressway.
You will enjoy cultivated countryside and forest landscapes with beautiful views of Saint-Dizier-l'Evêque, the Vosges and the Swiss plateau. You will discover a natural curiosity, "les Pas du Diable" (the Devil's Steps), and numerous border markers engraved with the Bernese bear and the fleur-de-lis.

Le Bosmont
The aim of the walk is to discover the historical and natural features of the Bosmont Forest and the forestry operations managed by the Office Nationale des Forêts (ONF).
You will be able to see the marks left by the work carried out between 1874 and 1880, after the Franco-Prussian War.
The Belfort-Réchésy railway line through the forest is also still visible.

The source of the Doue and the boundary stones of the principality in Abbévillers
This is a pleasant hike starting from Abbévillers near the Swiss border, 20 km south-east of Montbéliard and 30 km from Belfort.
You will enjoy beautiful countryside and forest landscapes and stunning views of the Swiss Jura.
Halfway along the route, you can admire the source of the Doue, which is a resurgence at the bottom of a cliff. The site is very well laid out with a mill currently undergoing renovation and numerous information panels.
At the end, you can admire the border markers.
Mandeure - Pont-de-Roide
This stage is the first stage of the Grande Traversée du Jura (or GTJ). It is the easiest. It can be done in a morning and can be combined with the next stage, which goes to Saint-Hippolyte. Most of the route is through forest. The starting point is in Mandeure. A detour to the Gallo-Roman theatre allows you to start with a touch of history. After an hour's walk, the stage passes near the Mandeure viewpoint before continuing through the forest. There are a few open spaces, but they are rare. The descent to Pont-de-Roide is then short and quick.
Brevilliers dolmen
A short, easy country walk for the whole family with views of the Lomont wind turbines, the Chasseral massif in Switzerland (on a clear day) and a visit to the Brevilliers dolmen.
Côte de Champvermol in Mandeure
This short hike will take you to the Roman Theatre and the Mathay plain via a path with views over the Doubs and all the biodiversity associated with this coastline: dry and wet forests, cliffs, scree and ponds are home to many protected species. Play areas, picnic areas and facilities are dotted along the route.
Fort du Mont Vaudois trail near Héricourt
Hike in the Héricourt area. You can explore the Fort du Mont Vaudois and its defences. You will descend the inclined plane that was used to build the fort.
You will continue through an unusual landscape of old abandoned orchards along the Bois du Mont Vaudois with some very pretty views.
