Park at the Place de la Mairie in Bellême.
(S/E) Go down the steps to the left of the town hall, turn into Rue de la Herse opposite and follow it to the Clos Joli crossroads.
(1) Turn right onto the path that follows the route of an old railway line. Continue along the Sablonnière Rouge forest road and enter the national forest.
When you reach the Baudonnière road, follow it to the right until you reach the Sept Bras crossroads.
(2) Cross the Perrière road and take the Route Forestière du Château opposite, continuing straight ahead for several hundred metres. You will reach a four-way crossroads.
(3) Turn left onto the path marked in red and white, which is theGR®22; follow it to the Étang de la Herse, cross two small bridges and arrive at the Mortagne road junction (RD938).
(4) Take it to the left for a few metres, cross it: Caution, danger. Turn right onto the wide downhill path, then veer left, still on theGR®22, which follows the old railway line. Pass under the bridge and continue along the railway line to the D938.
(5) Turn left onto it for a few metres, cross it again with great care, to reach the rest area and follow the fitness trail. Leave it on the right onto a path that descends and leaves the forest. Reach the hamlet of Bel-Air.
(6) Continue along the path that passes through Bel Air. Follow the small road straight ahead, cross the bridge over the Même and return to the Clos Fleuri crossroads you passed on the way there.
(1). Retrace your steps to return to the car park at Place de la Mairie in Bellême (S/E).
