Escolives-Sainte-Camille walks

This hike offers beautiful views of the Yonne valley and a bucolic stroll through vineyards, cherry orchards and along the banks of the Yonne. It will give you a breath of fresh air and allow you to get to know the unusual village of Bailly.

Fancy a charming and informative ride? Hop on your mountain bike and set off to discover the four single-vineyard wines of Domaine Verret!Along the way, scan the QR codes on small wooden posts to learn more about each plot: grape variety, history, winemaking techniques, and more. You will pass by "Les Gaudiers", a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, then "Les Mazelots", dominated by Pinot Noir, the star grape variety of our eponymous Irancy wine.You will then cross "Palotte", our oldest vineyard, rich in secrets and character, before reaching "Veaupiary", planted exclusively with Sauvignon, which produces our Saint-Bris of the same name. A getaway combining nature, heritage and a passion for wine, ideal for the curious and wine lovers alike! The hike starts from the estate car park, so you can enjoy a well-deserved tasting on your return.

A very easy hike, with a return trip along the Canal d'Acconay and then the Canal de la Nièvre. The section through the woods offers a beautiful view of Accolay.

This hike was created with the aim of finding the old aeronautical lighthouse in the woods, which was used for night flights by the Aéropostale in the 1930s! The route is fairly simple and fairly clear. You are sure to see horses and deer, and enjoy the panoramic views.

The springs and washhouses without forgetting the Château and the Chapel of Chéry will be the most important heritage sites to discover for this outing. Throughout this route, alternation between valleys and hills where points of view are numerous.

Waymarked route N°48. A beautiful woodland walk on this limestone plateau, even if at the start you need to take a little road to reach the Bois de la Faine and beyond. The forest we pass through is rich in species of wood and specimens of oak and beech, and is no match for the nearby Forêt de Frétoy.

Marked hike n°62. This site located in the void diagonal, as some like to say, conceals many assets. If, with the help of agricultural machinery, the search for productivity was the goal in the middle of the 20th century, it has not led to the expected results. Today, it is towards a restoration of biodiversity that we are moving. The fauna and flora are gradually returning. Discovering this heritage also helps to educate children. Superb educational walk!

This route leads to a local landmark, Le Gros Chêne, where a sign recounts the history of this three-hundred-year-old oak tree, which is no longer there, but where an oak tree from the year 2000 was planted by the village schoolchildren in 2002 to mark the turn of the century and to remember our venerable ancestor.
