Cravant and Vermenton, the former aeronautical lighthouse

Park your car in the cemetery car park.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, set off along the road.

(1) At the first crossroads, turn right and follow the path that runs alongside the farm and into the fields. Keep going in the same direction as you were on the road.

(2) After passing the top of the hill, 200 m after the summit, take the path on the left that overlooks the vineyard. You can see Reigny Abbey. Continue straight ahead on the path, with woods on your left and vineyards on your right (note the anti-frost wind turbines!)

(3) When you reach the road, turn left. Continue to the next crossroads (after the farm).

(4) Turn left (between the horse paddocks).

(5) At the next intersection, turn right, make a U-turn, and look for the aeronautical beacon with the following GPS coordinates: 47.692709, 3.755169 (follow the route on the map). Keep your eyes peeled, as the tower blends in perfectly with the woods.

(6) Aeropostale aeronautical lighthouse. Retrace your steps.

(5) Continue along the route to the right.

(7) At the intersection in the woods, continue straight ahead and go down the hill.

(8) When you reach the road, turn right. A few metres further on, take the first path on the left and continue along it, keeping the field on your left and the woods on your right.

(9) After the cabin/hunting lodge, turn left and head back up towards the farm. When you reach the road, turn right and you will quickly come back to the intersection you passed on the way there.

(1) Return to the cemetery by following the same route you took on the way there (S/E).
