(S/E) Depart from the picnic area on the banks of the Gartempe. Cross the D5 and take the D11 towards Yzeures.
(1) Leave the road and take the first path on the left, which is paved for 20 metres and then grassy. Continue along this path until you reach the trail on the right that leads back up to the road.
(2) Cross the D11 and take a path through the woods towards a place called La Bergerie. Ignore the paths on the right and left. At La Bergerie, take the D11h on the left to Champfouché.
(3) In Champfouché, at the cheese dairy, take the path on the right that looks like it leads into the farm. Continue on the paved section, ignoring the paths on the right and left, until you reach the entrance to a copse.
(4) In the middle of the woods, take a path on the left that crosses the wooded area. Continue, ignoring the path on the right, until you reach Château de la Brosse.
(5) View of Château de la Brosse, private property to be bypassed on the right. Follow the access road to the château and, at the calvary, ignore the paths that branch off to the left and continue to the hamlet of Les Robins. Go to the road, cross it and take the grassy path opposite. Ignore the paths on the right and left to reach a stabilised lane.
(6) Take the lane on the left towards the D2c. Cross the road and take the tarmac road that leads to La Mitaudière. At the entrance to the hamlet, take a grassy path on the right.
(7) Take the first path on the right, then follow the D2c road on the left for a few metres before taking a path on the right, then left to Les Petits Breux.
(8) At the exit of the hamlet, turn right at the calvary and take theGRP® de la Brenne trail marked in red and yellow. After 250 metres, cross the road, pass in front of the water tower and ignore the first path on the left. Join theGR®48 trailmarked in red and white and turn right. Then cross a stabilised path and continue on theGR® trail.
(9) At the entrance to the woods, follow theGR® trail that branches off to the left and runs alongside the copse to the road at a place called La Chabosselière. Cross the road and take the first lane on the left to descend to the D5.
(10) Cross the D5 and take the tarmac path that leads to the river. Follow the Gartempe to the picnic area (S/E).
