From Poulloguer Pond to Coatascorn

After passing through the village of Prat, walk along the pond on your right, turn left and immediately enter the pond car park.

(S/E) Leave the car park via the natural steps leading down to the mill. At the bottom of the steps, turn left to cross the stream via the footbridge and head towards the access road to the mill.
Cross the main road and take the grassy path on the right.
NB. Another path starts opposite and goes round the pond along the bank. It is flatter but offers a less pleasant view.
Continue along the upper section through the woods, then turn left twice to head back towards the pond.

(1) Make the most of the viewing platform set up on the marsh to admire the birds. Continue round the pond by turning right (at the point where you’ll find the path running along the bank on your left) to cross the bridge, then turn left. When you reach the main road, cross it and continue straight ahead, leaving the car park where you started on your left. Take the first road on the left.

(2) Take the path on the right heading south-east, which later turns south-south-east. It ends at a road. Take this road on the left. Ignore a farm track on the right and continue on the right until you reach the wayside cross

(3) Turn left. Take the first path on the right, which becomes a track as you reach a farm. Continue along this farm track.

(4) Turn right and cross a stream. Turn left in front of the farm (heading north) and continue along this road. At a left-hand bend, ignore a road on the right.

(5) At the junction, turn right towards Coatascorn. Admire the church on your left, walk past the small town hall then turn left towards the community hall. Join the Route de Saint-Vincent, taking the left-hand path. After leaving the village, at the fork with the wayside cross, continue to the right.

(6) Turn right. At a right-hand bend, leave the access road to a private property on your left and take the path on the left immediately after it to follow alongside it. Continue along this path.

(7) Turn left, cross the D21B and continue along the path opposite. Follow the Poulloguer stream for the first time. The path joins the D21B; follow this for about a hundred metres before taking the path on the right. When you reach the stream, turn left to follow it upstream. Continue along this path.

(8) When you reach a farm access road, turn left and immediately take the road on the right. After a bend, it heads south-west. Continue along this road.

(9) Turn right. The road becomes a path and, after a left-hand bend, joins the stream at Moulin de Brélantec. Once again, follow the stream upstream. Continue along this path heading south-west until you reach its end.

(10) At the fork, turn right then continue to the left to rejoin the stream. Continue along this path, which winds along the stream bank until you see a sewage treatment plant on the right.

Leave the Moulin de Poulloguer on your right and climb the stairs you descended at the start to return to the car park (S/E).

Alternative route: "Between Prat and Poulloguer". Unlike the other route, this one starts with a walk around the pond and passes through the village of Coatascorn. It is also a bit more challenging, with a steeper gradient (+50%).
