Description of the walk

Park in a small car park right next to the abbey. GPS: N 48.767094°/ W 3.022819°

(S/E) From the car park, head due south along the path at the bottom of the valley, with the stream on your right.

(1) Cross the stream and follow the watercourse.

(2) Cross the stream again and arrive at a road/path junction.

(3) Cross the small road and follow the path opposite until you reach another road.

(4) Cross the road and take the path towards a footbridge.

(5) Cross the footbridge and immediately turn right onto the path along the stream
Take the steps on the left and head towards the treatment plant’s reservoirs.
Follow a wide stony path on the left leading to the park at the bottom of the village of Kerfot.

(6) Opposite the church, take the path on the left and follow the sandy road downhill.
Immediately after the stream, head into the woods on the left, climbing towards the ridge.
Take a forest path under the pine trees, then emerge onto a small road called Impasse de Lan Rosted.

(7) At Lan Rosted, turn left onto a straight, descending road and head towards a road/path junction.

(8) Take the sunken path on the left, descending in a straight line towards the footbridge you crossed on the way there.

(5) Follow the path to the right along the stream to the Étang de Danet.
After the pond, turn left and take the uphill path. At the next junction, keep left and reach the road (Chemin des Bruyères).

(9) Take this downhill road and enjoy the view of Paimpol Bay.
At the junction with the main road D786, opposite the abbey, stay on the left-hand pavement and you will immediately reach the car park where you started (S/E).

I used this as a starting point to create the "Beauport Route".
Two loops, the first joining the GR 34 variant to go to Boulgueff beach, the second joining the GR 34 at Kerarzic to avoid the gruelling slopes after Boulgueff towards Beauport (three walls, two of which are difficult, including one with a gradient of up to 47%).
A very beautiful route, best done in dry weather to avoid the trail style, but very pleasant and still doable in the Bois de Beauport.
There are alternative routes at the end of the Danet lake to prolong the enjoyment.
The signage for the 'Route de Beauport' is perfect.
Thanks to Kerheol.

A lovely time and a wonderful discovery: the Paimpol maritime farm. Oyster bar, Pointe de Kerazic.
The friendly staff and the delicious food whetted our appetite before the picnic.
