Description of the walk

The starting point is in the car park at Boulgueff beach in Plouézec.

(S/E) Follow the road for a few metres and look for the GR® 34 trail on the left. Take this trail and continue, ignoring the PR® trail on your right. Further on, you will come to another intersection with another trail, which marks the point where you will return.

(1) Continue straight ahead and a few hundred metres further on, another path will take you to the Moulin de Craca.

(2) You can choose whether or not to make a round trip to the mill. It is quite close (about 100 metres) and has picnic tables as well as offering a magnificent view. Return to the coastal path and turn right. Ignore the side paths and you will arrive at Port Lazo.

(3) The hiking route takes you across the entire length of the beach to reach the vehicle access ramp. You can also stay on the road along the beach and arrive at the entrance to the ramp leading to the shore.

(4) Go up the ramp to the junction, take the road that goes up to the left and leave it when it turns 180° to the right. Continue on the marked path and turn left at the end of the car park to start a series of hairpin bends that lead to a car park around a dolmen.

(5) On your left, you can enter the park and walk around it in a circular manner to discover the various statues.

(5) Back at the car park, take the route on the left, following the Route de la Pointe de Bilfot. Shortly afterwards, you will come to a crossroads where the GR® 34 trail branches off to the right.

(6) Continue straight ahead for about 1 km to reach the Pointe de Bilfot (or Plouézec) site: enjoy the site and the magnificent view.

(7) Retrace your steps back to the GR® junction.

(6) Take the left fork, leaving the tarmac road. Further on, you will come to a junction with a path leading off to the right. You will arrive at the Porz Donan steps.

(8) Take the path that descends steeply to the left. Carefully descend the numerous steps, some of which can be very slippery. Cross the stream, catch your breath and climb the path in front of you, which has around two hundred steps of varying difficulty. Keep going! Once you reach the top, continue on to the Pointe de Minard car park.

(9) After admiring the magnificent cliffs of Plouha, retrace your steps and continue along the main road. Ignore the first road on the right and continue to the crossroads at elevation 64.

(10) Continue straight ahead, leaving the GR® 34 trail on your left. You will then arrive at Minard. Take the road on your left and, just before the last houses, look for the marked trail on your right. Take this trail and you will come to a crossroads.

(11) Turn right onto this marked path, which descends into a wild valley. At the bottom, cross the stream via a footbridge and climb back up. In the fields, continue straight ahead towards Porz Loas. You will come to a first crossroads.

(12) Take the street on the right, then turn right at the next crossroads and immediately left into Rue de Boderhy. Further on, turn left onto Route de Port Lazo and you will come to another crossroads at an elevation of 65 metres in Saint-Riom.

(13) Take Route du Cap Horn on the right. Then go around the small pond on the left and follow the forest path. Next, go along the campsite, cross the various nurseries, staying on the grassy track to reach a crossroads in Craca.

(14) Turn left and you will come to the road. Turn right, leave Chemin du Moulin de Craca on your right and continue a little further to a four-way crossroads. Take the road on the right onto Hent Traou Vola. Go to the end, take the small forest path on your left and, shortly afterwards, you will reach an intersection leading to a small water treatment plant.

(15) Take the path on your right down into a very wild valley. Pass a wash house and continue to the initial crossroads with the GR® 34.

(1) Turn left and take the path you used at the start. Find the Boulgueff beach road, head towards the beach and return to your car park (S/E).
