Start: Bergueneuse at the junction of the D71 and the D94. (Please avoid parking in front of the gate of the house opposite)
(S/E) Head north along Rue de Thérouanne following theGRP® du Ternois (yellow and red markings).
(1) When theGRP® turns right (arrow), carry on straight ahead uphill until you reach a small road. Follow this for a few metres to the left until you reach a junction.
(2) Take the path on the right (still heading due north). You’ll come to a small road, which you follow to the left (military ruins on the right).
(3) At the crossroads (with a wayside cross, sometimes slightly hidden on the right), turn left and, about a hundred metres further on, take the correct path on the right.
(4) At the T-junction, turn left onto theGRP® du Ternois, which will take you back to Bergueneuse. You are now on the Chemin de la Fosse aux Loups, though there’s not much to see of it!
(5) At the junction (waymarker), head straight ahead.
(6) Just before you reach a small road, the path often disappears (ploughed field). Head towards the clump of trees on the right.
(7) At the crossroads, continue along the path straight ahead and join a small road, which you follow to the left for 500 metres.
(8) Leave the tarmac and take the grassy path on the left (GRP®). Ignore the main track on the right and, a little further on, turn right at a 90° angle.
(9) A little further on, take a hairpin bend to the left and reach a small road; follow this straight ahead for about a hundred metres.
(10) Turn left onto the D71 and head towards Équirre (a pretty, squat little church). After the church, turn right onto the grassy square. At the end, turn right again uphill, follow the edge of the woodland and reach a T-junction where you turn left downhill. When you reach the houses, turn right onto Rue de l’Argillière and join the D71, which you follow to the right.
(11) At the church in Bergueneuse, turn left and head back to the starting point (S/E).
