Start: Bergueneuse at the junction of the D71 and D94 (avoid parking in front of the gate of the house opposite).
(S/E) Take the D94 towards Anvin and immediately turn left into Rue du Mont. Pass in front of the agricultural equipment company (you can also park there) and cross the Faux. Walk alongside the stadium and climb for about 2 km to join theGRP® du Tour du Ternois Nord (yellow and red markings) at a T-junction.
(1) Turn left for about 150 metres and at the next junction, leave theGRP® which branches off to the left. Continue straight ahead, join the D71, cross it and follow the path opposite. It is "a long, long road" (a small tribute to Manset), damp in places, which leads to a wind turbine.
(2) Continue straight ahead to reach a small road. Follow it to the left for about 200 metres.
(3) At the cross, turn left until you reach the edge of the woods.
(4) Turn left onto theGRP® du Ternois trail, which you will follow to Fontaine-lès-Boulans. This beautiful path (which is deteriorating rapidly: it was in very poor condition at the end of December 2019) runs alongside the woods downhill before joining the D92E1 at a place called Quévaussart. Follow it to the left until you reach the farm.
(5) Just after the farm, take the path on the right (it feels like you are entering the farm). The first few metres are often muddy but the ground is good. Climb gently, turning left then right. At the top, ignore the path on the right and the next one on the left. Continue straight ahead on a grassy path which, a little further on, descends steeply to Fontaine-lès-Boulans (lots of flint, be careful in wet weather) and joins the D93.
(6) Follow it to the left. At the T-junction, take the D94 on the right and at the church, turn left onto the D93 towards Prédefin. A few metres further on, don't miss the beautiful voyette (small path) that branches off to the left just after the last building (at the end of December 2019, there was a fallen tree 400 metres along the path, but it was possible to get past with a bit of contortion).
(7) At the end, take the path on the right to climb Mont Aubert. At the T-junction, follow the D93 to the left for a few metres.
(8) At the next T-junction, leave the road and take the path on the left for about 300 metres. Turn right at the first crossroads and you will reach a small road. Follow it to the left (remains of a military base on the left) until you reach a three-way junction.
(9) Turn right onto the path. At the junction with the road, turn left and continue for a few metres.
(10) At the three-way junction, leave the road and take the path on the right, heading south. This path leads back to the starting point via a gradual descent (S/E).
