The hike starts at the Clock Tower, Rue de l'Horloge in Bagnères-de-Bigorre. There is no parking in the immediate vicinity.
(S/E) Looking at the tower, turn right. At the end of the street, turn left onto Rue Victor Hugo. At the next intersection, turn right onto Place Lafayette, pass the kiosk, then turn left onto Rue Pasteur, passing in front of the façade of the Church of Saint-Vincent.
(1) Turn right to cross the Jardin des Vignaux diagonally, then the other park along the street. Pass in front of the Centre des Finances Publiques and turn left onto the path along the Adour.
(2) At the end of this path, turn right, cross the footbridge over the Adour and continue along the small street opposite to reach Rue Jean Baque. Follow it to the left for about 50 metres, pass over the old railway line and immediately turn right onto Rue Jean Sirex. Continue to the roundabout.
(3) Continue along the second street on the left, Route de la Plaine. Turn onto the first small road on the right, Chemin de Monloo. Pass in front of the campsite, then turn left to go around it.
(4) Before reaching the Mesnil property, take the track on the left called Chemin du Levant. Return to the tarmac road and continue to the crossroads at the top of the hill.
(5) Turn left onto Chemin des Crêtes to visitChâteau de l'Angle and then retrace your steps.
(5) Turn right onto the downhill road and continue to the junction with Route de Monloo.
(6) Turn right, then take the first street on the left and cross the old railway line.
(7) Head left towards the small park to see the Virgin of Our Lady of Peace at the end . Retrace your steps and turn left onto Rue de l'Adour, crossing over the river.
(8) At the end of the street, turn right onto Avenue de la Mongie. Take the second street on the left, Rue du Montimars, crossing the avenue at the pedestrian crossing.
(9) Turn right onto the first street, Rue Saint-Saturnin, visit the Church of Saint-Saturnin, then retrace your steps and continue straight ahead on the same street. Continue until you reach the crossroads.
(10) Continue right onto Rue du Général Laffaill and walk along the campsite on your left.
(11) At the first crossroads, turn left, then immediately right onto the uphill track towards Camp de César. Reach the highest point, then arrive at the next Y-junction.
(12) Turn right onto the uphill track and reach a new junction with a signpost: benchand beautiful view of the Pic du Midi de Bigorre.
(13) Continue straight ahead on the descending track and follow a series of bends.
(14) Take the uphill track on the right, which immediately turns left into a hairpin bend. You will reach a junction.
(15) Continue straight ahead until the next junction.
(16) Head right along the fence, then turn left with the path. Join the access road to the Gardeloup farm.
(17) Continue along the path downhill to the left, pass under the high-voltage power line and follow the signs for La Gailleste. Join the Route de Labassère Debat.
(18) Turn left and proceed cautiously along the road until you reach Route de Labassère.
(19) Turn left and cross the hamlet of Gailleste. Ignore the road on the left further on and continue for about 100 metres.
(20) Take the first road up to the right and, before the property, take the track on the left. Join a small road (Chemin de Lamassa) and continue straight ahead.
(21) Pass the Fontaine Ferrugineuse fountain and continue along the small road uphill. At the hairpin bend, turn onto the track on the left, pass the Fontaine Verte fountain and continue straight ahead to reach Rue Ferdinand de Cardaillac.
(22) Turn left. On the descent, turn left to reach the car park of the Hôtel de la Reine: beautiful view of the town.
(23) Return to the junction, continue left around the bend and join Boulevard Rolland Castells.
(24) Head left and walk alongside the Grands Thermes. Then turn right onto Rue des Salies, continue along Rue de l'Horloge and head towards the Clock Tower (S/E).
