Park in the small car park at Vallon de Salut. It is advisable to arrive early to get a space.
(S/E) Head south on the GR®78 marked in white and red, alternating between the banks of the Ruisseau de l'Anou. You will reach a multi-way junction with a designated area.
(1) Stay on the GR® to reach a car park at a hairpin bend.
(2) Turn right at a 180° angle to begin a winding climb through the heart of the forest. You will reach the Allées Dramatiques crossroads.
(3) Take a right, which is also the GR® trail, cross meadows, then more rocky areas along the edge of a wood. You will reach a crossroads at the end of this wood.
(4) Keep left at 180° on the GR®, continue climbing up a few switchbacks, then reach a Y-shaped crossroads in the clearing.
(5) Keep left on the GR® and enter the Bois de la Hèche. At the Couret du Monné, you will reach afirst crossroads.
(6) Leave the GR® and turn onto the path on the left. Follow the last bend to reach the crossroads below the Monné.
(7) Take the path on the right and then climb to the summit of the Monné.
(8) Return in the same direction to the previous crossroads.
(7) Continue the descent by taking the ridge on the right and rejoin the GR®78.
(9) Take it on the right to arrive lower down at thesecond crossroads of Courret de Monné.
(10) Leave the GR® again and descend to the left along the path. Then exit the woods before reaching the meadow, then the Y-junction you passed on the way out and rejoin the GR® here.
(5) Retrace your steps back to the Allées Dramatiques crossroads.
(4) Leave the GR® on your right, continue left and you will soon reach the multiple crossroads at Croix de Manse.
(11) Take the road on the right, keep left at the next crossroads and then find a path that crosses the road.
(12) Take it on the right; it is a shortcut. Further down, rejoin the road, turn right and follow it to the Vallon du Salut car park (S/E).
