Tour of Bédat via small roads

Departure from the Bagnères-de-Bigorre thermal baths, paid parking available opposite the thermal baths, free parking on Avenue Prosper Nogues.

(S/E) Opposite the entrance to the thermal baths, turn left onto Boulevard Roland Castells. At the roundabout, take the first street on the right, Avenue Prospère Nogues.

(1) At the end of the avenue, turn right onto Chemin Bouget and, at the next crossroads, follow Chemin du Bédat to the left until you reach a road.

(2) Take this road uphill to the left, Chemin de la Croix de Mance, and stay on this small road, which winds several times before reaching the Croix de Mance crossroads.

(3) Turn right and then immediately left onto Chemin de l'Élysée Cotin. Stay on this small downhill road, which turns into a track. Pass Ravin de la Tapère and join a small road at Cot de Ger.

(4) Turn left, still on Chemin de Cot de Ger, and follow this road westwards. It then descends in hairpin bends, heading due north, and ends at Chemin de Mespoux (road).

(5) Follow it to the right and continue to the next crossroads near Ruisseau la Gailleste.

(6) Follow the road to the right and join Route de Labassère, D88.

(7) Turn right onto this road, cross the hamlet of La Gailleste and stay on this road. Pass a riding centre and arrive at a fork.

(8) Keep right, then at the next fork, continue straight ahead on Avenue du Maréchal Alambrooke and enter Bagnères-de-Bigorre.

(9) At the crossroads near the hospital, continue straight on Rue du Général Menvielle and continue along Rue du Pont d'Arras until you reach Boulevard de l'Hypéron.

(10) Turn right and then left onto Boulevard Roland Castells to reach the entrance to the thermal baths (S/E).

A dry hike that can be done in grey weather.
