You can park your car in the square in front of the church in Crêpières or in the surrounding streets.
(S/E) Take the street that runs alongside the church on your left and immediately turn right into Rue du Paradis. At the T-junction that follows, turn left into Rue de l'Enfer (funny combination of streets). Then turn right into Sente des Moulins. Continue straight ahead on the small path which overlooks horse pastures on your right. Follow this path, which curves sharply to the left for about 1 km, until it turns right at a right angle.
(1) Cross the stream via the small stone bridge, then continue straight ahead. Follow the path as it curves to the right for 200 metres.
(2) Take the wide path on the left that climbs slightly.
(3) At the next crossroads, take the first path on the right (GR®1, red and white markings), which climbs up to the plateau. Continue along this path for about 1.5 km, ignoring the paths branching off to the right.
(4) At the junction with a path coming from the left, continue straight ahead, start the descent towards Thiverval and walk alongside the houses. Go down the steps leading to the wash house, then down the Grande Rue. Pass in front of the school and then the church of Thiverval.
(5) Continue up the same street. This route takes you around the Parc de Grignon (AgroParisTech campus marked "Institut National d'Agronomie" on the map, which unfortunately cannot be crossed). Continue straight up Rue de Rougement. This street passes in front of the cemetery and ends at a roundabout.
(6) Cross it and take theGR®1opposite. After about 300 m, at the first fork, follow theGR®1. About 200 m further on, theGR®1branches off to the right. Leave it here and continue straight ahead to Pièce des Vignes (elevation 128).
(7) Then turn left to return to the D119.
(8) Cross the road carefully and go down the hill to Soula. You will have the wall on your left and houses on your right.
(9) At the bottom of the hill, turn right and go up Avenue Lucien Bretignières. At the top of the hill, you will rejoin the D119 road.
(10) Turn left onto it. Continue along the wall of Parc de Grignon for 500 metres.
(11) Turn left onto the tarmac road that goes downhill. Pass by the water treatment plant.
(12) Follow the widest path, which veers to the right, until you reach the last house. Continue along several paddocks with horses, ponies or donkeys (watch out for electric fences!) and turn left twice.
(13) At the end of these paddocks, turn right onto the wider path that leads to the plateau and its cultivated fields.
(14) At the Croix Saint-Jacques, at the entrance to the village of Davron, turn left onto Rue Saint-Jacques.
(15) At the end of this street (church), turn left onto Rue de Wideville, named after the estate you will pass later, and walk past the cemetery. Walk along the estate fence on your right until you reach a crossroads you took on the way there.
(3) Continue north-west and follow the same route as on the way there, crossing the stream again and returning to the church in Crêpières (S/E).
