Corbières walks

An easy loop starting from Corbières, with the Torrent de Corbières gorges and the Trou du Loup. The start of the walk offers a glimpse of the gorge on a gently ascending path, with very cool spots and a wide variety of flora. The Ravin de Bernadine has the same atmosphere but with a torrent that is often dry. The climb to La Bosse and the descent on the way back take you through scrubland typical of the Luberon. A pleasant way to discover the hills and scrubland of the Luberon.

This is a pleasant hike with a visit to the Chapelle Saint Brice, another to the cairn built here for the 20th anniversary of the Sainte Tulle Hiking Club, and finally the Trou du Loup reservoir.

Hike in the eastern foothills of the Luberon between La Bastide-des-Jourdans and Vitrolles-en-Luberon.

This is a beautiful walk starting from the village where many scenes from the films Jean de Florette and Manon des Sources were shot. You can rediscover the plants of our hills by looking for the signs at the foot of the plants. The path is poorly maintained, but the view of the Durance, the village and the Château de Mirabeau are well worth the walk.

A loop which poses no problems so can be undertaken with children to discover a dovecote which is still in a good state.

This circular walk, which follows some of the classic trails of Gréoux and some lesser-known paths, will take you from Gréoux-les-Bains to the hamlet of Maurras via a forgotten hamlet. On the way back, you will climb up to the Notre-Dame des Oeufs Chapel and from there to the pylons overlooking Gréoux, from where you will return to your starting point.

A short but invigorating walk. From Villémus, a charming village in the Luberon region of Manosque, you will climb up to a ridge which you will follow before descending back down to the village. Magnificent landscapes and views of all the mountain ranges in the region, the Forcalquier plain, and the Durance and Encrême valleys.

An easy walk that will take you from the banks of the Verdon to the heights overlooking Gréoux-les-Bains

This is a family hike that can be done with children. On your left, you will have a permanent view of the Luberon, with Mont Ventoux as the focal point. Then you will see the Montagne de Lure. On the way back from the circular, you can also admire the peaks of the Alps.

A hike between Gréoux-les-Bains and Saint-Martin-de-Brômes, starting in the mountains, continuing through the Colostre valley and returning via a small path along the Verdon.

If you enjoy walking in the forest, this hike is for you. You will encounter several species of pine trees, oaks and other service trees. Much of this hike is in the shade, so you can enjoy this circular route in summer when the sun starts to heat up.

A walk through the Provençal countryside in the magnificent landscapes of the Luberon Regional Nature Park. This route, linking two typical villages in the Pays d'Aigues, follows unmarked paths, often through woodland and away from any traffic. The landscapes are varied and reflect the richness of the flora and a past that can be glimpsed. Please note: follow the directions carefully; using a GPS device can provide additional safety.

This walk near Gréoux-les-Bains allows you to discover a tributary of the Verdon, the Colostre, a charming little river that flows all year round in a small, fairly steep-sided valley. Also on the programme are an oppidum and the magnificent village of Saint-Martin-de-Brômes.

Despite a slight elevation gain, this is a scenic hike with 360° views of the Luberon and, behind, Mont Ventoux, the Lure mountain, the upper and lower Verdon, and the Dévoluy. On the other side, you can see Sainte-Victoire, Sainte-Baume, and Mont Olympe.

Located between Sainte-Victoire and Luberon, the Montagne de Vautubiere offers beautiful views of the entire Provençal mountains (from the Southern Alps to Sainte-Baume). You can also discover a pretty hidden agricultural valley. This walk combines superb views with the freshness of cultivated meadows surrounded by forests, offering a pleasant change of scenery.

Circular starting from the hamlet of Bèdes, across the plateau, passing by Notre-Dame de Consolation. Beautiful panoramic views of the Durance, the Vautubière and the Peyrolles gravel pits. No particular difficulty, between sandy (ochre) paths, tarmac and a few rocky passages.

A beautiful and varied walk through the countryside, culminating in the medieval village of Saint-Julien-le-Montagnier (with its chapels, mills, church and 360° panorama of Provence).

The village of Volx is known throughout Europe for its climbing guide, which has recently been redesigned and made safer. At the start of the hike, you will see the climbing walls on your right. At the end of the Capellane climb (it's steep), you will be rewarded with a beautiful view overlooking the village. Then you will have a superb view of the Durance valley on your left.

Located on a hilltop at an altitude of 580 metres, overlooking the plain, the historic old village of Saint-Julien-le-Montagnier offers a superb panorama of the Durance valley, the Verdon mountains, the Montagne de Lure and, on a clear day, Mont Ventoux.

A lovely hike along the Luberon ridges, often through woodland with views on both sides. Views of the Pre-Alps and the Vaucluse mountains during the first part and of the Aigues valley and the Durance valley and beyond, weather permitting. A few kilometres on the DFCI track overlooking the valleys, but the view is well worth it.

This loop goes around a rock (La Roche Amère), which will be visible for much of the hike. A quarter of the way round, I suggest a detour to the Chapelle de la Roche. If you wish, continue past the chapel (not marked on the map) and follow the path that leads to the top of the rock (ruin), where you will have a beautiful view of the Durance valley.

A beautiful short family hike in the Luberon Regional Nature Park. The commune of Saint-Michel-l'Observatoire is located between the Lure mountain and the Luberon massif. Lovers of old stones, Provençal nature and astronomy will be charmed by this route.
