Access: In Manosque, take the road to Volx (D4096), then turn left onto the Chemin de Valverane and continue to the end. Park on the left, at the entrance to the former Gaude mines.
(S/E) Head north-west, join a track and turn left past the barrier. Follow this track uphill alongside the facilities, ignoring a track on the right, until you reach a junction.
(1) Leave the track, turn right at a right angle and take the small path heading east-southeast. Follow this path as it winds its way up, eventually leading onto a wide track.
(2) Turn left and walk uphill for 400 metres until you reach the start of another path on the left (be careful not to miss it).
(3) Follow this path, which curves to the left and rejoins another track at a hairpin bend.
Follow the track to the right for 200 metres until you reach a wooden post with a green band at the top, situated on the left.
(4) Turn left onto the path, which is barely marked at the start. At the T-junction, turn right to discover a magnificent dovecote.
(5) Turn back and head down the path, which leads back to the track once more.
Turn right, go round the large bend, then take the path on the right. Head downhill to rejoin the track a few metres from the junction you passed on the way out.
(1) Take the track on the right and follow the outbound route in the opposite direction to return to the car park (S/E).
