Park in the village square in Mirabeau.
(S/E) Standing in front of the town hall, go down to your right and cross the D973 towards Beaumont de Pertuis. Follow the road opposite, the D198 runs alongside the tennis courts on your left and winds its way up to a crossroads with yellow signs pointing to the right for "Grand Logis".
(1) Take this quiet road, which descends and further on, on the left at a hairpin bend, you will see a "dead end" sign. You can also start the walk by parking directly at this location.
(2) Take this "dead end" road full of potholes, which climbs up to a T-junction.
(3) Turn right for a few metres, then the botanical trail begins at the foot of the large pine tree (the wooden sign indicating the botanical trail is broken at its base!). Turn left to complete the circular route in a clockwise direction.
At the start, the path is wide until it reaches a slightly steep but short climb. Before entering the woods, you will find a charcoal kiln, then the path turns into a trail and further on you will have a superb view of the Durance. Be careful, it is not always maintained and the small kermes oaks prick your legs. The trail winds its way up and leads to a wider track.
(4) Take this track on the right, which descends gently. Almost at the end of the circular route, before reaching the large pine tree and the T-junction, there is a view of the village of Mirabeau and its castle.
(3) When you reach the T-junction, descend via the same small road and return to the village (S/E).
