To reach the start of the walk: in the hamlet of Bèdes, take the small road towards Notre-Dame-la Mixte. Continue straight ahead until the end of the tarmac (~1.5 km) and park in a small open space on the right.
(S/E) A large olive grove marks the start of the hike. Take the blue and yellow marked path (east), which climbs quickly but fairly steadily between heath and pine trees. From time to time, the view opens up, allowing you to see Sainte-Victoire and the Durance valley. At the top, turn left to reach the lookout point, which is about 50 metres away.
(1) From there, continue north-west along the ridge of the Vautubière mountain. You will remain on a balcony with a 360° view: a guaranteed panorama. Reach the end of the ridge.
(2) Retrace your steps back to the lookout point.
(1) Descend on the left via the DFCI track.
(3) At the Col de Vautubière (not marked on the IGN map), stay on the main track (do not take either of the two paths branching off to the right).
(4) Go through the barrier that prohibits access to motor vehicles. Cross a vineyard belonging to the Grande Séouve estate before coming to a paved road.
(5) Follow it to the left for about 800 metres.
(6) Where the paved road turns right, take the path on the left (blue markings) and continue straight ahead for about 150 metres.
(7) At the fork, leave the yellow and blue signs and turn left (orange arrow). Continue straight ahead, keeping a south-westerly direction and ignoring the paths on either side. You will reach the access road to the Lingouste estate.
(8) Turn opposite to go around the estate between two olive groves and return to the starting point (S/E).
a tour taken on a beautiful sunny day in January. Panoramic view of Provence from Sainte Baume to Mont Ventoux from east to west and from Sainte Victoire Mountain to Mont Pelat and the snow-capped Écrins massif from south to north.
