The starting point for the hike is the car park opposite the Céreste Tourist Office.
(S/E) Head towards Saint-Michel Church by going up Boulevard Victor Hugo. Continue left along Route de Vitrolles (D31). Pass the cemetery.
(1) About 250 metres after the cemetery, turn left onto theGR®4(marked in white and red). Walk along farmland and then enter a wood of oak and box trees (unfortunately victims of the box tree moth).
(2) At the fork, take the right-hand path which leads to Montjustin via the ridges. Continue straight on along the ridge to Montjustin
(3) Once in Montjustin, turn left, then left again immediately afterwards, towards Céreste via the plain. Pass in front of a wash house with a drinking water tap.
(4) To return to Céreste, take the path on the right marked in yellow that descends towards the cemetery.
(5) Follow the path down to the right (yellow markings) and, at the next junction, turn left and continue through the woods, following the markings. Further on, the path veers to the right and heads north before joining a track just at the edge.
(6) Follow this track to the left. Further on, ignore the access to Bastide Neuve and continue straight ahead to the road.
(7) Take the road on the left.
(2) Continue straight ahead and retrace your steps to return to the starting point (S/E).
