From Guillestre, take the D902 then the D60 to reach the village of Ceillac. Park in the market car park next to the town hall.
(S/E) From the car park, take the GR®58 north-east through the village of Ceillac to reach the Sainte-Barbe Chapel via a track suitable for vehicles.
(1) After the chapel, leave the official GR®58 to take a variant on the left and follow the GR®5 towards Col Fromage, skirting the Ravin de Rasis and the Montdauphin State Forest.
(2) At Col Fromage, leave the GR®5 and the GR®58 variant by turning left onto the Chemin des Crêtes des Chambrettes towards the old signal station. Several paths leave and rejoin the ridge; always stay on the path at the top of the ridge.
(3) Pass the old signal station and continue along the ridge, staying on the highest path at all times.
(4) Pass Le Brunet and follow a short stretch along the Riou Vert ridge.
(5) At the first junction on this ridge, turn left heading due south to take the Chemin de Crête du Château Jean Grossan. Continue along this ridge to reach a viewpoint offering a lovely panorama of Ceillac and the neighbouring peaks.
(6) At the viewpoint, retrace your steps and head north-west, to the left, to reach the Col de Bramousse.
(7) At the pass, turn left onto the GR®58 to descend towards Ceillac via countless small hairpin bends through the Cheynet woods. Reach Ceillac and head towards Saint-Cécile Church.
(8) At the church, turn left, still on the GR®58, towards the village of Ceillac and the market car park (S/E).
