Park in the car park at Saint-Yorre cemetery.
(S/E) Follow the Chemin des 11 Martyrs, which overlooks a housing estate, until you reach the junction with the Goutte Grandval path.
(1) Turn right onto the path leading to the monument to the 11 executed men, where you will find the memorial to the Eleven Martyrs.
(2) Return by the same route to the previous crossroads.
(1) Continue to the right and you will soon reach Avenue de Bellevue. Go up to the right and you will reach L'Antenne. Stay on this avenue, which becomes Chemin de la Cote a few metres further on. The tarmac section continues to the hamlet of La Côte. Cross a wood where dead chestnut trees line the path. Reach the hamlet of Les Gays.
(3) Keep to the path heading north-east before joining the D175, which also follows theGR®463.
(4) Turn right and follow it to the entrance to the hamlet of Les Corres.
(5) Before reaching Les Corres, turn right onto the farm track and then, a few dozen metres further on, at a crossroads, turn left and follow the red and white markedGR®463 traildownhill. Continue to the Gourcet stream.
(6) Ford the stream or use the makeshift bridge made from old concrete electricity pylons, then continue along the path that climbs up to the village of Busset.
(7) Turn right onto the castle square. The castle is open to visitors. Opposite the castle entrance are the old farm buildings. Passing the cemetery on your left, continue towards Les Dachers de la Croix and the horse farm.
(8) Pass close to the buildings (note the equine fresco) and a few metres further on, turn left onto the path that descends to Chamoiroux.
This is the least pleasant part of the walk, as the grassy path is rutted and, in wet weather, there are numerous puddles all the way to the hamlet of Chamoiroux.
(9) Follow the paved road downhill. You will reach the junction with Route de Busset, the D121.
(10) Take it to the right towards the centre of Saint-Yorre until you reach the starting point (S/E).
