Departure from the junction between the CD906 and CD121e, exit Saint-Yorre on the Vichy side. Parking nearby.
(S/E) Take Chemin des Andraux to the hamlet.
(1) When you reach the hamlet, note the old well on the left. At the crossroads, turn right and follow the tarmac road, which becomes a farm track. Some sections damaged by farm machinery may be difficult to cross in wet weather. Join the road leading from Saint-Yorre to Les Petits Bois.
(2) Rue des Petits Bois, turn left and follow the road to the village.
(3) When you reach the village of Les Petits Bois, turn right at the crossroads onto Impasse de l'Orée du Bois, follow it to the entrance to the woods and take the path uphill on the left. At this point, you will see an old wash house on your right.
(4) After the Petits Bois reservoir, turn right at the crossroads. Continue to the hamlet of La Côte.
(5) Turn left, cross a deciduous wood with a large number of dead chestnut trees, then cross the hamlet of Les Gays and continue to the next fork.
(6) This is the highest point of the route with an unobstructed view of the Monts Dômes. Take the hairpin bend to the left and descend towards Les Agauds. At the Les Agauds crossroads, go straight ahead and descend the tarmac road.
(7) At the fork, ignore the no entry sign on the right, turn left onto the path and pass a reservoir on your right. From here, you will have a beautiful view of the hill of Vernet and its tower, as well as the Château des Chaussins. Continue towards Les Baillons.
(8) Just before the hamlet, turn left onto the path and leave the houses on your right. 100 metres further on, do not take the path that descends to the left, but continue straight ahead. At the first crossroads, take the tarmac road that descends to the left and follow it through Les Séjournins to the Font du Cassiot crossroads.
(9) Keep left and head almost opposite towards Saint-Yorre, walking alongside the Fiats housing estate. At the junction with Chemin des Andraux, turn left towards Les Andraux.
(1) Turn right to return to the starting point (S/E).
