Park in the car park of the Saint-Yorre Sports Centre.
(S/E) Cross the children's playground, pass in front of the beach bar and take the path that runs alongside the river and becomes a trail. Reach the crossroads leading to Les Graviers.
(1) Leave the hamlet on your right and take the path on the left that runs along the left bank of the Allier. Reach the first ford.
(2) Continue straight ahead to reach the second ford.
Note: if the river is high, the fords may be impassable.
(3) Cross under the road bridge and take the path on the right. Continue to the crossroads by the lake.
(4) Turn left. A barrier of rocks marks the entrance to the lake trail. Follow the path and enjoy the magnificent lake on your right.
During the walk around the lake, you can go to the riverbank and see the beginning of the old meander. Continuing on, another viewpoint over the lake is accessible on the right.
Excellent viewpoint on the meander on the left.
(5) Leave the lake by turning left. Follow the grassy path (new) along the edge of the field. You will arrive at a dirt track.
(6) Turn left to take a route around the agricultural plain of Saint-Priest. You will come to a crossroads.
(7) Turn right, follow the grassy path to the dirt track and veer to the right. Continue to the Coursac stream. Take the path on the right that runs alongside it and complete a circular route by returning to the crossroads by the lake.
(6) Turn left and return to the starting point, with the option of taking a circular detour to the right, passing under the new road bridge over the Allier to reach the second ford.
(3) Then follow the same path as on the way out to return to the car park (S/E).
Note: at the pumping station, you can turn left, passing between the campsite on the right and the water catchments on the left.
