Park at La Bâthie, in the hamlet of Chantemerle, Montée du Château.
(S/E) Climb up the Château path to reach the ruins of Chantemerle Castle.
(1) Continue along the path. Further on, ignore the path on the right which descends towards Saint-Didier and continue to Biorges where there is a drinking water point.
(2) Continue to the left, then turn left again onto Rue des Glières and reach a junction.
(3) Follow the track on the right. At the end of the track, continue for 50 m along the edge of the forest, then take the path that climbs to the right, following the red markings. When you reach the small road, follow it to the left for a few dozen metres and leave it on the left to follow a path that crosses the Nant Varin further on and descends to Tours-en-Savoie.
(4) Do not cross the bridge over the Grand Ruisseau but turn left to walk alongside it. Before reaching the first houses, turn left and then right about 50 metres further on. Join the D990 at Les Contamines, where there is a drinking water tap.
(5) Cross the overpass with care and head slightly left across the road. Cross the railway line and follow the road to the left. Walk alongside the EDF regulation reservoir and, at the end, turn right for a few metres.
(6) Turn left and follow the railway line to the level crossing. Cross it to return to the starting point (S/E).
