Route des granges à Trois-Fontaines-l’Abbaye

Start from the car park at Trois-Fontaines Abbey.

(S/E) From the Abbey car park, on the^GR®®14B, head south-east, ignore the path on the left and carry on straight ahead for 1 km.

(1) Pass the first barn, “Trois Fontaines la Grange”, on your left, continue straight on for 1.4 km, go through the gate and carry on straight for a further 400 m through the Malcoutume Forest Reserve.

(2) At the corner by the fuel depot, turn right and carry on for about 700 metres.

(3) After a gas installation, turn left heading south-west for 300 metres.

(4) Follow the path on the left at the edge of the forest, with a view of the second barn, “Ferme de Beaulieu”. Continue for 1.4 km. The path enters the forest and leads to the Route Forestière des Hattons.

(5) Turn left, heading north-north-east along this forest road, and continue for 1 km until you reach the junction with the^GR®®14B.

(6) Turn right, heading south-east, onto the^GR®®14B, along the Route Forestière de Lombroie, which leads to “Les Écuries de Lombroie”, the third barn on the route, 600 metres away.

(7) Turn right, walk past the pond and the Écuries de Lombroie, and continue straight on for 300 metres.

(8) Turn left, heading north-east, leaving the^GR®®14Bvia the footpath and then the track, and carry on straight ahead for 500m.

(9) At the four-way junction, turn left, heading north-west, onto the Route Forestière des Étocs, then carry on straight ahead to join the^PR®® on the Route Forestière de Brassa. Pass close to the Source de la Bruxenelle, then continue north-east for 800 metres.

(10) First turn right then left onto the Route Forestière de La Belle Épine and continue north-east for 350 metres.

(11) Leave the^PR®® by turning left, heading north-west, to join the^GR®®14after 1 km, then carry on straight ahead for 300 metres.

(12) Turn left towards the south-west, then take the first signposted path 80 metres ahead on the right, heading north-west for 400 metres. Leave the^GR®®14on your left and follow the path straight ahead for 300 metres, then rejoin the^PR®® for a further 300 metres.

(13) At the junction before a bend to the left, head diagonally left towards the south-west, pass the “Neuve Grange” (the fourth barn on the route), and continue along Rue de la Neuve Grange on the^GR®®14to the Abbey car park (S/E).
