Chassignolles walks

Walks along the banks of the Vauvre between the Mouches and Ribes mills.

This is a very pleasant walk that allows you to discover the different landscapes around the commune of Montgivray, from plateau to valley, ending along the Indre river and at the foot of the castle.

Starting from Mongivray, ride around La Châtre, through the countryside, passing by the Vaudouan chapel, then following the banks of the Indre.

A lovely walk starting from the village of Vic, near La Châtre, which takes you through fields and woods to Saint-Chartier and its 15th-century castle, then to the beautiful village of Nohant and George Sand's house.

This link between La Motte-Feuilly and Sainte-Sévère-sur-Indre allows you to take the Berry Romantique variant of the overall circular route "Itinérance sur les pas des Maîtres Sonneurs entre Berry et Bourbonnais" (Wandering in the footsteps of the Master Bell Ringers between Berry and Bourbonnais).

This route links La Motte-Feuilly and Sainte-Sévère-sur-Indre, allowing you to complete the secondary loops of the GRP® in the footsteps of the Master Bell Ringers: Berry Romantique and Marche berrichonne (in the opposite direction)

This hike offers a glimpse of the Bouzanne valley and the surrounding countryside of Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre, ending with a tour of the village's heritage, including the magnificent 12th-century Basilica of Saint-Etienne.

This is a lovely walk to discover the village of Cluis and its surroundings, including Saint-Paxent Church, the remains of its feudal castle and its viaduct.

In the footsteps of the Master Bell Ringers between Berry and Bourbonnais, stage2.

This walk allows you to discover the surroundings of Vicq-Exemplet through its "plain" and its large crops, which contrast with the usual bocage landscapes of the Boischaut-Sud region of the Indre. In addition to the Romanesque church of Saint-Martin (13th century), which houses part of the work of Abbé Aymond, you can also see the remains of the former Priory of Bois l'Abbé.

This is a pleasant walk starting from the village of Jeu-Les-Bois (Indre), which takes you along small roads, paths and trails through fields, meadows and forests around the Étang de Lys-Saint-Georges lake.

In the footsteps of the Master Bell Ringers between Berry and Bourbonnais, stage4.

This is a pleasant route for hiking, running or mountain biking around the Étang de Berthommiers and Étang des Deux Frères lakes in the Châteauroux Forest.

A fairly demanding long loop that allows you to walk along or above the Creuse and discover its tributary, the Petite Creuse. Monet painted these banks many times, and with good reason! This hike is best done when the trees are still bare. IBP56 rating

This hike through the valley of painters allows you to discover a stretch of the Petite Creuse and Creuse rivers, as well as numerous viewpoints that have been a source of inspiration for many painters. This is a family-friendly hike with numerous benches and tables, as well as information panels along the way explaining the paintings created in this part of the valley.

This unpretentious walk allows us to discover the Vellois countryside and beautiful views of the Bouzanne.

The birthplace of the Grand Noir du Berry donkey breed, Lignières thrives thanks to its sporting and cultural events. Les Bains-Douches is a renowned contemporary music venue with a programme running from September to June. The Donkey Fair, held on Whit Monday, is a must for lovers of long ears. A route of the town of Lignières will allow you to discover more about this crossroads of trade.

Enjoy a beautiful walk through the woods to discover the Pierres Jaumâtres, an iconic natural site in the north of the Creuse. You will discover this listed site and its legend, a favourite walking spot of George Sand and Chopin when they stayed at the Château de Boussac.
