Charvet (ruisseau) - Affluent du ruisseau de la Calabourdane walks
Tour of Mont Roup
Circular walk in the Vanoise National Park, outside the Val d'Isère ski area at the foot of Pointe de la Sana.
Fond des Fours refuge via Le Manchet
Hike through the Ruisseau des Fours valley to the refuge, which is the starting point for many hikes in the Vanoise.
Pointe de Méan Martin via the Col de la Rocheure and the Pointe du Pisset
A long hike in the heart of the Vanoise National Park, through a largely rocky landscape, where you experience a striking sense of solitude when you don’t come across anyone – which isn’t necessarily unpleasant. At the summit of the Pointe de Méan Martin, a lunar-like panorama – which could be described as magnificent desolation – awaits you.
The path is well marked along almost the entire circular route. One section involves off-trail walking from the Pointe du Pisset, for 600 to 700 metres, to rejoin the path leading to the highest point of this route.
Col du Palet Mountain Hut – Femma Mountain Hut
Day 2 of a two-circular route in the Vanoise National Park, from the Refuge du Col du Palet to the Refuge de la Femma. A demanding hike due to its distance, but one that takes you through varied landscapes and brings you close to friendly marmots.

Leisse refuge - Col du Palet refuge
Day2 of the Grande Casse circular route, from the Refuge de la Leisse to the Refuge du Col du Palet, following theGR®55via Val Claret.
La Leisse – Tignes Val-Claret
A steady climb takes you to the Col de la Leisse (2,761 m), offering breathtaking views of the Grande Motte glacier, before descending to Tignes Val-Claret with, in the background, the Dôme de la Sache (3,588 m), the Pointe de la Grande Sassière and, to the left, the Col du Palet and the Pointe du Chardonnet.
Refuge de la Leisse – Refuge de la Femma
This route follows an unmarked but useful path between the Refuge de la Leisse and the Refuge de la Femma, crossing the Col de la Pierre Blanche.
Refuge de la Leisse- Refuge de Plan Sec
Étape de la Grande Traversée des Alpes traversant le Parc National de la Vanoise du Nord au Sud.
Fond des Fours – La Leisse
A little-used path leading to the Col de la Rocheure (2,911 m) runs alongside a myriad of small high-altitude lakes, before descending to the Refuge de la Femma. The ascent to the Col de Pierre-Blanche (2,842 m) is steady and not very well marked, even veering off the beaten track. The view is magnificent over the rocky Leisse valley, nestled between the giant peaks of the Grande Motte and the Grande Casse. Descend through these deserted landscapes towards the eagle’s nest that is the Refuge de la Leisse (2,487 m).
From the Fond des Fours Refuge to the Col de la Vanoise Refuge
A long stage for this third day with very varied landscapes and terrain. It’s a shame that the road section after the Refuge de la Femma can’t be avoided, as it’s rather uninteresting. You’ll have to wait until the Refuge d’Entre Deux Eaux to finally get back on a trail. The difficulty is mainly due to the distance, as the elevation gains aren’t too steep and the trails are in good condition.
Refuge de la Femma to Val d'Isère via the Col des Fours and Col de l'Iseran
Second day of this mini trek around Tignes-Val d'Isère, three legendary passes in the Vanoise with magnificent views of the neighbouring glaciers. A long day with a few technical sections, particularly at Tunnel 3000 (7).
La Femma Mountain Hut – La Leisse Mountain Hut
Day3 of a two-circular route in the Vanoise National Park, from the Refuge de la Femma to the Refuge de la Leisse.
There’s nothing particularly complicated about this hike, where we’ll descend the Femma valley before climbing back up alongside the Leisse valley, which I’m particularly fond of.
The Col de la Leisse from the arrival point of the Aéroski cable car
A beautiful hike to admire the mountains around Tignes, with views as far as Mont Blanc. Lovely view of the Grande Motte glacier. Little elevation gain when taking the cable car.
Circular route in the Vanoise around Tignes / Val d'Isère
A challenging two-day mini-trek in the heart of the Vanoise National Park between the resorts of Tignes and Val d’Isère, with several possible routes. Ideal for seasonal workers or for those who want to experience a night in a mountain refuge.
