Departure from the Aéroski cable car arrival station.
(S) Exit the platform at the top, going around the cable cars on the left and climbing a few steps. Stop at the orientation tables opposite the exit (view of Mont Blanc on the right in clear weather).
Leave the platform via the south-east and head towards the Fresse ridge (clearly visible opposite), in the direction of the Col de La Fresse (sign). Follow the ridge to the south-east.
(1) At the orientation table, continue along the ridge, heading south, to Pointe de la Fresse.
(2) Continue south on the ridge. Leave the Bollins-Fresse chairlift arrival point on your right.
(3) At Col de Fresse, a sign on the right indicates Col de Leisse. Follow it south-west: the path is very well marked.
(4) At the fork, leave the path descending towards Tignes-Val Claret on your right and continue straight ahead (south-west) on theGR®55(marked in white and red). You will now enter the Vanoise National Park. Continue south then south-east, on a moderate slope to the Col de Leisse (stay on the path to avoid damaging the very fragile surrounding flora).
(5) Retrace your steps to the Val Claret signpost.
(4) Continue north-east via theGR®55, downhill. The path descends, curves to the left and runs parallel to a ski lift line.
(6) At Chalet de la Leisse, turn right (north-west) and cross two ski lift lines in succession. Just after the second ski lift, turn left and go around the buildings on the left. Follow a road on the right and, after less than 100 metres, turn left again to return directly to the Val Claret car park (free shuttle bus to Tignes-le-Lac) (S/E).
