Park in the small car park at the junction of Rue de Charvan, Rue de la Rivoire and Rue de la Tour: two to three spaces available. If this car park is full, you can park at the Town Hall car park, located about 150 m away.
(S/E) At the hiking sign, head up towards the Chapelle Saint-Christophe via Rue de la Tour, which then becomes a good path. Continue uphill for a good kilometre, keeping in the same direction.
(1) Turn right at the junction with another path, cross a tarmac road and continue straight ahead until you immediately reach the hamlet of La Tour.
(2) Take the path that climbs straight up to the left between the houses, then winds its way above them. Pass under a sort of footbridge in poor condition and join a wide track at the hamlet of La Cochette.
(3) Turn right to follow this path, which climbs gently before descending towards the hamlet of La Chapelle Saint-Christophe, where no chapel appears to exist on the ground.
(4) Continue along the tarmac road, which climbs slightly before descending to the hamlet of Bagin, consisting of four or five houses below the road on the right-hand side.
(5) Turn right at the hairpin bend to cross the hamlet. The road becomes a path which you follow until you reach a hairpin bend to the left.
(6) Take the path leading off to the right via a flight of six steps marked by a hiking sign. Descend quite steeply, cross a ravine before reaching the hamlet of Le Tuf. During the walk, a sign for Grand Chanay indicates the direction of La Roche: follow this.
(7) Follow the tarmac road to reach La Roche. Cross the hamlet to reach the junction where a hiking sign points towards Saint-Pierre-d'Allevard on a small tarmac road.
(8) Take the road on the right. After less than 100 m, leave it and take a good path on the left that goes downhill. Ignore the first path that branches off horizontally to the right and continue to the second one, about 150 m further on.
(9) Turn right to follow this good path which descends and leads to the hamlet of Croix du Mollard, where you join a tarmac road leading just above the church of Saint-Pierre-d'Allevard.
(10) Turn right until you reach the Stop sign, turn right again and then immediately left to follow Rue de Charvan to the car park (S/E).
