Circular route via the hamlets of Sollières and Ruche

The access road starts from Goncelin, after the hamlet of Champet; park at the fork in the road, where the road leading left to Solières meets the road leading right to Ruche. There is space to park several cars without causing any obstruction.

(S/E) At the Fork in the road, head left – towards Solières – along the tarmac road for a few kilometres. Reach the hamlet and continue to the end of the tarmac road until you reach a cross.

(1) Follow the path on the right, which then turns sharply to the right before levelling out almost completely. Continue gently uphill beneath the chestnut trees. You’ll come to a wide path descending from your left (elevation 941).

(2) Carry on to the right, descending along this undulating track. You’ll reach a wider track (elevation 935).

(3) Follow it down to the right (a sign points to Theys on the left) to reach the hamlet of Ruche.

(4) Then continue to the right along this path, which becomes tarmac as it passes through the hamlet, and follow it down to the original Fork in the road at (S/E).
