From the cemetery to Lac de la Mirande

The walk starts at Allevard cemetery, where there are a few parking spaces.

(S/E) With your back to the cemetery, head up the Route du Moutaret (D9) until you reach the first path on the right just after No. 104.

(1) Take this path, then continue along Rue de la Retourdière and head down between the houses towards the secondary school.

(2) In the secondary school car park, turn left towards the swimming pool, following the road (Boulevard des Anciens d’Algérie).

(3) At the swimming pool, turn left onto Chemin de la Touvière, following the Torrent le Breda, and continue to a bridge over the stream.

(4) Cross the bridge and follow the path to the left, on the right bank, as far as Lac de la Mirande.

(5) Walk all the way round the lake in a clockwise direction.

(5) On your return, turn left and follow the route back in the opposite direction to the outward journey to reach the cemetery car park (S/E).

In summer, a snack bar serves drinks and light refreshments by the lake.
From the cemetery, you can set off on other walks, including one that leads to the Tour du Treuil.
