A circular walk through the communes of Quéven and Gestel, returning to the starting point.
Park in the clearing behind the village of Kerrousseau. This village can be accessed via the small road leading to the Quéven Golf Course from the D6.
(S/E) From the clearing (unpaved car park), head west towards a wooden fence and then walk along the edge of the Quéven Golf Course.
Continue along the contour line following the Quéven Golf Course and, after 300 to 400 metres, descend into the undergrowth towards the bottom of the Kerrousseau valley.
(1) Cross the stream using the small wooden footbridge opposite. Follow the stream to reach the confluence of two streams.
(2) Turn left onto a sunken path that leads to the grounds of Manoir du Lain via a small wooden bridge. Walk around the grounds of Manoir du Lain in a clockwise direction, passing Manoir du Lain and then a wash house.
(3) At the road (Rue de Kergornet), turn right, keep right at the next fork (cross) and then turn right one last time to return to the crossroads.
(2) Take the sunken path you took on the way there to reach the Kerrousseau stream and its small wooden footbridge.
(1) Follow the Kerrousseau stream on its right bank for about 200 metres, then cross to its left bank via another small wooden footbridge and follow it for about 1 km.
(4) Cross back over to the right bank at the ruins. Join and follow the path (PR®) on the left that leads to the Kerrousseau lake (Moulin de Kerrousseau).
(5) Turn left and follow the narrow path that runs alongside a horse pasture to a small ford that will take you to the Quéven to Pont Scorff Greenway.
(6) Cross the D6 road (be careful of traffic/poor visibility) to reach the Greenway via a small staircase carved into the embankment. Turn left and, after about 50 metres, descend on the right towards the Scave valley. Take the wide path that runs alongside this stream and faces the Pont Scorff zoo, and follow it to the tarmac road that passes through Pont Scave.
(7) Turn left and, before Pont Scave, take the path on the right that climbs the steep slope in two hairpin bends. This leads to a path that follows the course of the Scave.
(8) After climbing a few steps carved into the earth, turn right onto a path that follows the course of the Scorff river. From this point, you can see the confluence of the Scave and Scorff rivers.
(9) At the crossroads, after following this path overlooking the Scorff, turn right and head south, following a fenced pasture (barbed wire) to reach the Chapelle de Bon Secours. The path crosses a small stream and passes a fountain (on the right) before reaching the chapel.
At the end of the tarmac road leading to the chapel, take the path that runs to the right (facing the Scorff) and runs alongside a fenced horse pasture. You will arrive at a crossroads with several paths.
(10) Take the wide central path that climbs through the undergrowth, leaving a small sunken path bordered by two embankments on your right.
After about 200 metres, you will reach a wide path that follows the course of the Scorff river (PR®). Turn left and follow this wide path for about 800 metres.
(11) Leave this wide path and take a narrower path on the left that follows an isocline before plunging down towards the valley below the hamlet of Le Roze.
Climb up this valley towards the hamlet, then, when you reach it, turn left (just after stepping over an old fallen tree) onto the path that descends towards the banks of the Scorff.
(12) From this landing point on the right bank of the Scorff, turn left to walk up the Scorff to the Bon Secours chapel, leaving a floating pontoon on your right.
At the chapel, descend to the right towards the Scorff and follow its right bank as closely as possible, then that of the Scave, until you reach Pont Scave.
Continue along the same route until you reach the D6 crossroads.
(6) Cross the departmental road and, after crossing the ford, take the wide path that branches off to the left. After about 50 metres, climb up to the right along a steep path through the undergrowth to reach the clearing at the starting point (S/E).
