Parking is available in the car park in the hamlet of Les Cours.
(S/E) Start from Rue du Pissaille, leave Rue du Tepas on your right and continue to the intersection with Rue Clos de Bettoux. Take the street that goes up to the left. You will arrive at a four-way intersection.
(1) Continue straight ahead, climbing slightly up Chemin de Violette. After 50 metres, the road gives way to a wide path that climbs uphill. You will come to a tarmac road. Follow it for 200 metres until you reach a path on the right.
(2) Follow it towards the mine (see sign). Continue along the balcony path, cross a small stream and continue to the intersection with a wide path.
(3) At the signpost: mine 1448 m, take the wide path on the left that climbs uphill. Continue until you reach a sharp left-hand bend. Bench, picnic table, viewpoint. Continue along the path that climbs uphill on the left, further on, leave a lodge on your right and continue to the pastoral road.
(4) Follow it to the right, climbing up to the Col de Cluy crossroads (1802 m).
Option: 600 m round trip to the Chapelle de Cluy on the left.
(5) Continue along the pastoral road, which begins to descend slightly. At the next intersection, take the road on the left, which runs along a balcony, until you reach a fork.
(6) Leave the track. Take the grassy path on the left. You may be able to see the Aiguilles d'Arves and Goléon peaks. After about 1 km, rejoin the track and turn left. Continue and pass under three chairlifts in succession. Continue along the track (do not take any of the paths on the left).
(7) 50 m before the snow machine, turn left and cross the field for about 20 m to reach the ski slope leading to the resort. This path, which is much more pleasant than the slope, joins it 100 m before the pass. Continue to the crossroads at Col de Maronne.
(8) Continue left on the unpaved road that descends towards the resort.
(9) Continue along the tarmac road which descends to the D211.
(10) At the crossroads, cross the road, then the car park, slightly to the right, towards the swimming pool. A drinking water point is available on the resort square on the central reservation. Go down Rue de la Piscine on the left, leaving the swimming pool on your left.
(11) Between the Iris and Meije 2 buildings, take the path on the left that descends below the swimming pool. Continue to the next junction.
(12) At the sign for Combe Fréry (1488 m), take the path on the left to the D211.
(13) Cross it and follow the sign pointing towards the museum. Go down Rue Sainte Marie to the crossroads you passed on the way there.
(1) Turn right and follow the same route as on the way there to return to the car park in the hamlet of Les Cours (S/E).
