From Les Eyzies, take the D4 road, then at the village of Manaurie, turn right towards Rouffignac onto the D31. Once in Rouffignac, in the centre of the village, opposite the tourist office, you will find the signpost.
(S/E) With your back to the town hall, cross Place Simone Veil then take Rue de la Halle opposite until it ends at Rue des Tuilières.
(1) Turn left and continue to a junction with Chemin de la Deymarie, past the cemetery.
(2) Turn right after the garages. Go down and up the hill, then continue straight on until the next road.
(3) Turn left, then left again, and after 10 m, turn right between the houses until you reach the D32.
(4) Turn right onto the ‘Circular Mammoth Trail’. Follow the main road, then turn right, following the green markings, after the bend onto a track. Continue to the junction.
(5) Turn right onto the “Circular Route of the Mammoths” and continue to the next junction.
(6) Continue straight ahead, then cross the “Route de l’Offrerie” to head across the field to the next fork.
(7) Turn right and continue to the Blue Cross Chemin and its terminus on the Route de l'Offrerie.
(8) Turn left and continue to the first path on the right, Chemin du Verdier.
(9) Follow it towards Le Verdier. Pass the houses then turn right, at the edge of a wood, onto the path to go round the field. Turn left at the next junction. Continue straight on until the next junction with Chemin des Nolles.
(10) Turn right onto the path. At the end of this path, you will reach the junction with the path leading to the village.
(6) Turn left and, following the route back in the opposite direction, head to the information sign next to the bakery (S/E).
