Boucle de Lalande

From Rouffignac, head towards Fleurac, Les Eyzies. After 7 km, you will arrive in Fleurac. Park in the car park by the war memorial.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, take Rue de la Mairie on the left, then the D31 (Route de Saint-Exupéry) on the left. Continue to the crossroads with the first road (Chemin de la Poujade).

(1) Turn right and drive past the Château de Fleurac. You will soon reach a second intersection near a water treatment plant.

(2) Take the path on the left into the field and, at the intersection, continue straight ahead on the path called "Circular Route of Lalande" until you reach a road.

(3) Continue straight ahead. Pass through the hamlet of Labinche and you will come to a sharp fork in the road.

(4) Turn right towards Chantepie to start climbing back up to the plateau. At each junction, keep to the path that goes uphill. At the top of the hill, you will come to a small road, Chemin de la Pautinie.

(5) Follow it to the right until it ends at Route des Barradis.

(6) Continue to the left. Ignore the path on the left leading to Les Guillaubets and continue to the next track coming from the same side.

(7) Take this track, following the signs for "Circular Trail of Lalande". Continue along the path, turning left at the first junction to pass close to the houses. Continue straight ahead on the road until you reach the next junction with Chemin des Audies.

(8) Continue to the right, then right again to reach a third crossroads.

(9) Turn left towards Vigne de Reignac and Dadinou and continue to the end of the road.

(10) Descend into the valley on the left, then arrive at an intersection. Continue on the left. Climb back up onto the plateau. Be careful to continue on the D31 road on the right (Route de Saint-Exupéry). Stay on this road until the first junction with Chemin du Ruisseau.

(11) Take the small road on the left towards Le Ruisseau, then descend into the valley. Keep right twice, then tackle a steep climb to reach the charming little hamlet of Le Bourrut. Continue along the road to the plateau and the junction with Route de la Forêt.

(12) Turn left then right towards Lacoste. Leave a path coming from the right. The track narrows a little after the building on the right. Return to Route de la Forêt.

(13) Cross it to rejoin the path opposite and continue straight ahead until you reach a three-way junction.

(14) Continue on the path on the right, now following the "Circular Boissonie". A long climb begins to reach the vehicle. Reach the Fleurac cemetery. Keep to the right until you reach the town hall. At the town hall, turn left and reach the car park at Place de Fleurac (S/E).

(9) A picnic table awaits you for a short rest, where you can enjoy the view with Fleurac Castle on your left and the cliffs of the Vézère Valley on your right.
