In Le Bugue, from the tourist information office, drive towards Périgueux. After 6.5 km, leave the D710 and turn left towards Journiac. Park in the town hall square, 500 m from the junction with the departmental road.
(S/E) With the town hall behind you, from the information sign, cross the D42 towards the church. Continue to the right between the church and the war memorial. At the end of the street, turn left uphill towards the cemetery.
(1) Turn left onto the path that climbs through the woods. Keep going straight on until you reach the houses at Les Terrières.
(2) Carry on straight ahead until you reach an X-shaped junction.
(3) Turn left onto the Route de l’Eau de Roche, then right, just after the water tower, onto the Chemin de la Font du But. Continue straight on, downhill, until you reach the next major forest track.
(4) Turn right downhill and pass by a memorial stone.
(5) Carry on along the path past the memorial stone and you’ll come out onto the Chemin de Lapoujelie a little further on.
(6) Head straight ahead. Then carry on straight on at every junction until you reach the next major track.
(7) Turn left onto it, then head down into the valley, taking the first path on the right after the second clearing. Once at the bottom of the valley, keep to the right and head back up to the road at the hamlet of Lalot.
(8) Turn right onto the Route de la Sablière. Pass through the hamlet of Puyjorel. Carry on straight ahead at the junction at the bottom of the descent and cross a stream to come directly onto the Route de Journiac (D42).
(9) Turn right and follow the road, which leads straight back to Journiac and the town hall (S/E).
