From Périgueux, take the N221, then the D6089 and the D710 towards Le Bugue. Park at Place du Pré Saint-Louis.
(S/E) From the starting point sign on Rue de la Boétie, opposite Pré Saint-Louis, turn left onto the street, pass the post office and then the fire station. Follow the RD703 to the right towards Limeuil and Trémolat for 250 m. Pass the houses in Le Cingle and find Chemin des Noisetiers.
(1) Turn right towards the hamlet of La Croze. After a fairly steep hill, which offers a view of Le Bugue, take the path on the right and leave the wider path coming from the same side. You will arrive at the hamlet of La Croze.
(2) Continue the circular route by turning right onto the small road (Impasse de la Croze), turn left and then right again at the intersection at the end of the road. Turn left at the hamlet of Canteyrat and you will soon reach the houses.
(3) Take the path on the left and continue straight ahead into the woods. Further on, turn left and almost immediately after, turn right onto the small road (Route de Bara Bahau). You will soon come to the junction with Impasse de Lambertie.
(4) Turn left towards Lambertie. Keep going until you reach the hamlet.
(5) Turn right towards the barn, following the signs for "Circular Route du Cingle". After a slightly steep descent, cut across a short stretch of road and then a section of path before turning left. Take the tarmac road that continues on, cross a stream and you will come to the RD703.
(6) Follow it on the left for about 100 m (be careful, busy road) and take the path on the right into the woods. Continue straight ahead. When you reach the plateau, turn right and then take the path on the right after about 100 m. After a 50 to 70 m descent, you will come to a T-junction.
(7) Turn left into the woods and take the path down the hill. Be careful, cross the departmental road (Route de Sainte Alvère - D703) again to pick up the path opposite. About 150 m further on, continue on the path to the right and climb up to the houses in Maine.
(8) At the end of the path extending the trail, turn left onto Impasse du Maine, then turn right onto Route de Bara-Bahau. Continue to the second path on the left.
(9) Take this path, then after about 200 m, follow the path on the right to the end to rejoin Route de Bara Bahau.
(10) Turn left for a few dozen metres, then left again onto the path. Continue past La Peyre until you reach the junction with Route de la Lande.
(11) Turn right, then at the junction with Route de Périgueux, turn left carefully and continue for about 100 m until you reach the pond.
(12) Cross carefully to take the path on the right along the Ladouch stream. Continue to the three-way junction.
(13) Take Route de Ladouch opposite and continue straight ahead on Chemin du Moulin. At the end, continue straight ahead on Impasse de la Maillerie, which runs parallel to the RD32E5 before returning to Route de Périgueux. Take this road to the right for 100 metres, then turn left to join Route des Babots.
(14) Turn left. Pass the cemetery and first turn left then right to reach Place du Pré Saint-Louis (S/E).
