Circular around Strasbourg-Entzheim Airport

Park on Rue Jean Bugatti, at the western exit of Entzheim, near the memorial.

(S/E) Head west, following the airport fence until you are in line with the runway.

(1) Continue westwards, turning left, away from the airport area, then take the first right. Follow the fence of the former military base again until you reach the water treatment plant. Turn left and continue to the level crossing.

(2) Continue straight ahead and now follow the Bruche river to the D221. Follow it to the right until you reach the Pont du Bras d'Altorf bridge.

(3) Continue left on Allée de l'Europe until you reach the SNCF railway station.

(4) Continue along the railway line until you reach the next level crossing.

(5) Cross it and continue in the same direction. Quickly pass under the D221 bridge, then take the second right to reach the runway with its approach lights.

(6) Turn left and follow this path, with the airport fence on your right. Continue to the D392 roundabout.

(7) Turn right onto Rue Jules Verne and head towards the Étang d'Entzheim lake. Go around it on the left.Watch the swans, ducks, geese, peacocks and kangaroos... After going almost all the way around, turn left and you will reach the road.

(8) Turn left and approach the track and its fence again.

(9) Turn left and follow most of the track until you reach the stele (S/E).

This route can easily be modified.

It can also be done on foot, taking 3 to 4 hours.

Similarly, the start/finish point can be changed to another location, such as the railway station or the village.
