Park at the Mont-Olympe plain car park.
(S/E) From the car park, cross Rue des Pâquis, go up the steps towards the clock, then take the staircase on the right leading to the Mont Olympe footbridge, connecting Montcy to Île du Vieux Moulin.
(1) Keep the footbridge on your right and continue along the Voie Verte, which runs alongside Rue des Pâquis, higher up. When you reach the bridge leading to Charleville-Mézières on the right, continue straight ahead and walk up Rue Robert Croispine to the pedestrian crossing.
(2) At the pedestrian crossing, cross the street and take the small flight of steps leading down to the right bank of the Meuse. Follow the path running alongside the Meuse, then veer left, following the Canal de l’Est which cuts across the bend encircling the Île de Montcy-Saint-Pierre. Continue in this direction until you reach the lock.
(3) At the lock, turn left to join the avenue leading to Montcy-Notre-Dame. Turn right, cross at the pedestrian crossing before the Pont des Deux Montcy, and take the Voie Verte which runs along the right bank of the Meuse.
Then simply follow the Voie Verte along the banks of the Meuse back to the car park where you started (S/E).
