The Bonzac route and various châteaux
A slightly undulating route, with numerous quiet country lanes, scenic views, meadows, horses, woodland, vineyards and a few beautiful châteaux, making for a varied countryside walk.
Please note that some sections are in flood-prone areas.
Circuit in Savignac-de-l'Isle
The route is fairly hilly and varied, with the banks of the Isle, vineyards, woodland, beautiful views, castles and stately homes.
Guîtres Abbey, walk in the Gabay region
The starting point of the route, Guîtres Abbey (11th and 15th centuries) is an imposing monument located on the Way of St James. We will continue our walk through the gentle Pays Gabay (pronounced gabaye) to meet three rivers, the Isle, the Dronne and the Lary.

The difference between this route and the Des Moulins au Château des Tours route is that there is less undergrowth and more castles and viewpoints, as well as the Church of Saint-Georges.

Château de la Rivière in Saint-Germain-de-la-Rivière
A slightly hilly route combining the magnificent Château de la Rivière, its viewpoint, undergrowth and vineyards.
East of Saint-Germain-de-la-Rivière
A pleasant, undulating route offering fine views of Château de la Rivière and the Dordogne river below. The fairly varied route passes through vineyards, farmland and small woods. During the walk, you can also see the Meney wash house, the Tourenne wash house fed by water from the underground quarries, and the quarries’ wash house. The route passes by the entrance to the quarries and offers many beautiful views.
From the banks of the Dordogne to Château La Rivière
This is a fairly varied route that combines the banks of the Dordogne and the magnificent Château la Rivière, crossing a few vineyards and taking small, quiet roads.
From Saint-Germain-de-la-Rivière to Tressac in a loop
Loop between the Dordogne and the Fronsadais hills, with landscapes of marshes and hedgerows, then vineyards and hillsides. Pass through the small port of Tressac and enjoy the view of Château de La Rivière.
Circular route starting from the Moulin de Charlot in Marcenais
A circular route along the small roads starting from Moulin Charlot, ideal for walking on rainy days. The roads are quiet and pleasant. Like all circular routes, you can walk it either way.
Charlot Mill
The route is slightly hilly, with a significant section in the woods, ending at the edge of a very picturesque pond. This is a particularly suitable spot for a picnic, but bring a table as the few available are often occupied by fishermen.
Moulin de Charlot from Pont au Pin
Hike mainly through the forest along the Saye valley. The route is shaded, mainly following paths through the undergrowth.
