As of 5 September 2018, the Maine Pommier site still belongs to CALI (Communauté d'agglomération du Libournais) and is freely accessible. Park in the south car park
(S/E) Take the path south of the pond (north-west). Walk along the pond and follow the path through the woods until you come to a house (dogs are locked up but bark loudly). Walk down along the fence to reach a white path.
(1) Turn right.
(2) Take the first path on the left.
(3) At the crossroads, continue straight ahead until you reach the junction with a road.
(4) Do not follow the road, but take the small path on the left and follow it until you come to a white path.
(5) Turn right until you reach the road, cross over to the other side and follow the path that goes around a property and then into the woods.
(6) Take the first path on the right in the woods (fire access no. 31 hidden in the vegetation). Continue along this main path, ignoring any paths branching off to the left or right, until you come to some houses and a road.
(7) Turn left onto this road, which descends and then climbs again.
(8) At the top of the hill, take the path on your left. Continue along this main path, ignoring any paths branching off to the left or right, until you come to a house and then a road. Cross over to take the path opposite and continue straight ahead.
(9) Turn left and continue to the next crossroads at a place called La Croix d'Héraud. Turn right.
(10) Cross the white path and continue straight ahead.
(3) Turn right.
(2) Take the small path opposite (slightly to your left) which climbs up the hill and continue until you reach the Maine Pommier site. Continue straight ahead to reach the pond and then the car park (S/E).
