Bois Madame via the Canche at Boubers-sur-Canche

Park in the square in front of St-Léger Church.

(S/E) Opposite the church, head towards the castle and take the path on the left, heading north, and follow it to the junction with the D112

(1) At the road, turn right and after 100 m follow the Chemin de Ligny on the right. Leave the path on the right after the houses and follow the track for about 1000 m.

(2) At the Y-junction, turn right, heading south. __Please note! This path is not shown on IGN maps. Follow it to a house and turn right onto the footpath for about 900 m.

(3) When you reach the junction with Rue du Marais, follow it to the left, heading east. Leave the road on your left and, at the junction near the electricity substation, turn right onto the D111, heading south, then cross the bridge.

(4) At the junction with the D941, cross it opposite the house – be careful! It’s a busy road – follow it to the left heading east, walking single file on the hard shoulder, and take the first road on the right heading south-east.

(5) After climbing for about 700 m, don’t miss the entrance to the old railway line on the right heading west, which joins the^GRP® Tour de la Cache-Authie. Follow it for 2,500 m.

(6) After a building on the right, leave the^GRP® via a path on the right, heading north-west. At the road, turn right, ignore the first road on the left and take the next one on the left. Then leave the road on the left and join the D941.

(7) At the junction with the D941, just after the sandstone cross, cross the road – Caution! Road with traffic – and take the road opposite. At the crossroads with the chapel, continue straight ahead.

(8) At the next junction, take the road on the right; after about 500 m, take the path on the left, marked with yellow signs. Follow the path down to the junction with the D340.

(9) At the D340, cross it and follow it to the left for about 400 m. Keep well to the right in single file. Take the first path on the right. Ignore the path on the left and, at the next junction, follow the path on the right heading south-east. At the next junction, continue to the left.

(10) At the crossroads by the statue of the Virgin Mary, cross the road, follow it for 20 m to the right and take the small road on the left. Follow the lane until you reach a semi-circular building and houses in a semi-circle.

(11) Take the footbridge to cross the Canche and reach the church at Boubers-sur-Canche (S/E)
