Starting point: Résidence les Aunelles.
Park at Résidence les Aunelles, located at the crossroads of Rue Friquet and Rue du Moulin.
(S/E) Walk up Rue Friquet, pass under the bridge, then turn left onto the rural hedge path, Rue Friquet, then turn right onto the "Sentier Rural". At the end, turn left, then left again, and you will come to the old Valenciennes-Maubeuge railway line.
(1) Follow the old railway line to the right, which is sometimes covered by a canopy of hornbeam and hawthorn trees and sometimes offers views of the village of Wargnies-le-Grand, the Aunelle valley or the Bois de Wargnies. Continue to the paved path of the Gare.
(2) Turn left onto the RD129. After the Aunelle, turn right onto Rue de la Racque. 400 metres further on, the street climbs to the left at a right angle and leads to a crossroads. Continue straight ahead onto Rue des Bosquiaux.
Pass Grand Rue on your left, then Rue des Écoles and Rue du Paradis. At the end of the bend, pass Chemin du Grand Cavin on your right and you will arrive near the cemetery.
(3) At the Saint-Roch Chapel, turn left.
(4) At the stop sign near the Philanthropist's Tomb, turn left onto the hard shoulder and go down to the church.
(5) At the church, turn right to cross the square diagonally. At the end, turn left onto Rue Pisson, then right onto Rue de la Fontaine. Then cross Les Marlières and go up Rue de la Raquette. You will now be leaving Wargnies-le-Grand.
(7) Pass the Sainte-Marie Chapel and turn left at the Soleil Levant crossroads. You will see the Sebourg bell tower to the north.
(7) At the water treatment plant, turn right and continue straight ahead. At the next fork, turn right.
(8) Cross the D50a carefully and continue along the dirt track. After the military cemetery, turn left downhill. Note the chapel under the canopy of trees, typical of the Avesnois region, dedicated to Our Lady of Grace.
(9) Take the main street of Jenlain (D934) on the left. Pass by the Duyck brewery – Jenlain beer – which has made the village famous.
(10) 250 metres after the brewery, turn right onto Chemin de Préseau, then immediately left onto the tree-lined lane. This path, which runs alongside pastureland, offers numerous views, notably of the Château d'En Haut, built in the 18th century by the Counts of Espiennes. At the end, you will come to the church. Continue straight downhill to return to your starting point (S/E).
