Description of the walk

The start of this walk is from the car park on the Conleau Peninsula. Car park between the restaurants (please note, paid parking in summer).

(S/E) Take theGR®34along the coast and walk around the tip of the peninsula.

(1) Walk along the sea wall beside the seawater swimming pool. At the end, cross through the woodland and join the road, which you follow for 200m.

(2) Turn left and follow the path that runs alongside the estuary of the Rivière du Vincin.

(3) At Cliscouët, continue along the coastal path.

(4) The path leads onto a small road at a roundabout, where you turn left. After a slight bend to the right, take a street on the left and, at the end of it, continue straight ahead along the path.

(5) You’ll come out onto another road; follow this, ignoring two roads on the left. Continue until you reach a T-junction.

(6) Turn left.

(7) Once on the road (D201), turn left and, after the bridge, left again. Go up the street and take the path on the right, then right again.

(8) On the left, return to the road and follow it to the right for about 600 m.

(9) At the junction of the two roads, turn left towards Roguedas. Follow the road for a few hundred metres.

(10) Take the coastal path on the left. Walk along the coast following theGR® 34 (Tour du Golfe). After the descent, follow the sea wall and, at the wall you are following, turn right (GR®).

(11) At the fork, veer right. At the crossroads in Kerguen, turn left.

(12) At the next junction in Haliguen, turn left (towards Penboc'h). Follow the road straight on to Benalo and look for the car park on the bend (S/E).

A superb, easy walk; for us, it was a round trip, which meant we could tailor the effort to our abilities; a lovely part of Brittany; we didn’t see a soul

A wonderful walk – for me, it was a round trip as I hadn’t paid attention to the description. I did the walk at low tide, so I’d like to do it again at high tide, and perhaps take a water taxi back
