Description of the route

Start from the La Bégude-de-Mazenc Tourist Office.

Mountain bike route no. 2.

(S/E) Head towards Montélimar, then turn right towards Saint-Gervais.

(1) Turn right onto Chemin de la Piverdière. Beautiful view of Châteauneuf-de-Mazenc.

(2) Turn left onto a path, then follow a small road and a track to Le Vermenon.

(3) Turn right and follow the stream.

(4) On the right, take a small road to Les Moulières.

(5) Head up to the left and cross the D9: watch out for cars! Opposite, follow a steep path to Campalon.

(6) Head straight up, cross the pretty village of Châteauneuf and continue to Pierris.

(7) On the left, take a descent and reach a fork in the road at Perlonne.

(8) Opposite, head uphill to reach a fun single track and follow a small road to Souspierre.

(9) Descend to the right and cross the D540: watch out for cars! Reach Ferme Marre.

(10) Follow a small road uphill, then descend to Les Mourettes.

(11) On the left, follow a gently ascending path to Fort Barrau. Beautiful views!

(12) Turn right, then after 200m turn right again to reach the Pont du Jabron on the left. Turn right, then left to return to the Tourist Office (S/E).
